   1. Yes, certain government agencies have known about these bad actors for a good long time and are protecting them and/or enabling them for their own nefarious reasons.

      1. We have definitely reached end stage democracy when the government has become the enemy, when the thing it fears most is the citizens it is supposed to serve, and has devolved in to a looting operation.
