    1. If you actually showed this to a CBC twit, you would be told, “I don’t see a connection here. What is your point?” Followed up with, “Tell me why wasn’t Oda incarcerated for that?”
The bought-and-paid-for legacy media is that evil.

  1. L – Meanwhile, the impoverished Canadians ruled over by the Emperor Marquis d’Carnage Economique; they stand in line at food banks, hoping for stale bread, a raw potato or ground up cricket flour.

    1. Hi Larry – as our very own Kate might say “now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose”:

I can’t find what the Daily Bread Food Bank pays Neil Hetherington – the well-turned out Neil Hetherington (is that a micro-patterned Ferragamo tie? I have one just like it) – as their CEO (I love that they use the corporate term “CEO”, BTW) but his last published salary was from 2017 where he worked for another “private” charity called Dixon Hall*, which defines itself as “a multi-service, charitable organization committed to empowering the lives of the most vulnerable, marginalized and at-risk communities.” Back in 2017 he was paid $152,404 after receiving a 15.9% raise. I assume he did not jump ship for LESS money. Apparently, one can make decent bucks working for Poverty Inc.

*if Dixon Hall is as private as it attempts to make itself out to be, why is their CEO’s salary – again, I love (snicker) the use of the this corporate term – published in the Ontario sunshine list?

        1. I honestly don’t know why Hard Meat didn’t catch on in popularity … their music … owing mostly to the guitar and compositions of Mick Dolan the quiet legend of the 60’s … is simply top quality. The foibles of the music industry … oh well. Psychedelic Prog Rock from the North of England … so sweet.

This is my favorite … but there isn’t a bad cut on the entire lp. Few musicians/bands can make such a claim. It’s all interesting and very listenable

          1. Michael was born in Birmingham in 1947 and went to Bishop Challoner school in Kings Heath, where he was head boy.

I DO love the English … who doesn’t aspire to be … Head Boy?
Well … except in our current female-centric culture where the head boy is most likely to get his nards removed

        2. Snorting scotch is painful but essential.
And who doesn’t miss having hard meat at our age?
By which I mean having it for the girls,,,to be clear and all…

  2. Grok clearly has been banned this year from doing accurate likenesses of Mark Carney, but they will do it for PP and DJT.

This was from when it was permitted to do so, when asked to create an image of him with a crown, in the style of the movie, The Man Who Would Be King, if you remember what happens to Sean Connery. 😉
