I asked Grok the following question:
Putting yourself in the shoes of a Canadian with conservative views, speculate on some scenarios that might cause prosecution of such a person for something they might say, write, or do under Bills C-9 and C-12.
Here’s how it responded. I personally believe that professional activists are going to use these bills to shut down any speech they disagree with. Plus, anyone in any protected group will be able to say anything they wish, knowing they’ll never be prosecuted.

Not a single person should be surprised when these bills are used to bully free thinkers & free speakers.
admittedly a quick review of the content and clauses within the legislation, superficially they ‘sound good’.
buuuuut . . . . . l put it this way. the poo lice chief in my town once proposed landlords and property owners ante up the cost of raids on grow ops and such.
whereupon l and a landlord advocacy group vehemently protested since to counteract any such claim would require very time sonsuming and regular inspections to look for suspicious stuff.
they would have to be VERY frequent seeing a s a pot gro op could be essentially ready for operation less than a week? counting forward since the last ‘inspection’.
ya. ‘beware the fine print’ and ‘look to past eventualities as a guideline’
aka more Liberalism disguised as ‘fo da chilldwen’
Shrug. About five out of one hundred Canadians value freedom above all else.
Yes. That includes Conservatives.
As I said, most Kanadians pine for living in East Germany.
heh heh.
yep.
*and when they step off the plane they get a horrible sense of dread that theyve made a terrible mistake*
Some people are going to get rich as they cosplay their way to finding not-see’s under every bed.
Wait. It’s just … other people’s … bad words that will get censored (and worse). Just those bad people. Right?
And we all know who the bad people are … right?
It hardly matters what the bills say; if the government, any government, wants to prosecute you it will, if the government wants to shut you down it will, if the government wants to ignore its own statutes it will.
Sure you can contest it if you have the means and the will but, remember, the process is the punishment.
There’s no such thing as a “hate crime”.
