1. I assure you the Uyghurs would take issue with his statement. There is forced labor delivered upon that minority group in Xinjiang. Yyghurs are detained in camps and put into forced factory labor consistently. Kashgar, Xinjiang is the ground zero of this behavior and has even been documented by the US State Department (which bends over backwards to appease China…that’s how bad it is).

   There are many, many documented locations where minorities in China are held in large dormatories surrounded by fencing and iron bars. At the end of the workday, these forced laborers are escorted back to the dormitories by Provincial Police and disallowed contact with relatives.

   MP Ma is a CCP stooge. He probably always has been, or he has family remaining on the Mainland that is being used to leverage his statements.

   1. If someone was sufficiently conspiracy minded, one might theorize that he was induced to cross the floor by the Liberals because they threatened to reveal that he was under CCP influence.

      I however am at the point of assuming that all of the parties in parts of the country with large chinese diasporas are fully compromised by the CCP
