  4. ADAM SKELLY UPDATE – COURT DATE

    Spread the word – the Adamson BBQ/Adam Skelly constitutional challenge is being heard this week, Wednesday through Friday, Feb 25-27.

    For those who are able to attend in person, the hearing will be held in Courtroom 8-5 at 330 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.

    The hearing will be presided over by Justice Janet Leiper.

    1. I have another theory. A few years ago CRA was trying to extract billions of dollars from BMO (the bank) for an offshore corporation they had. Turns out, the corporation did nothing wrong and CRA lost the case. An analyst, commenting on the total amount of $18 billion owed to CRA, suggested that most of this was uncollectable because CRA was in error trying to litigate these claims.

      While I have no doubt there are corporations owing billions that will not have to pay, let’s not under-estimate the incompetence of CRA who love to talk about the $18 billion under investigation, most of which will never be collected. To acknowledge that would force a rationalization of CRA that they just aren’t interested in.
