  1. Read: RAF or other countries that have bought the F-35. Which for the time being excludes shitholes. Believe it or not, there are skilled and experienced pilots that want to join the RCAF that have had a hell of a time immigrating to Canada. Canada (until a few years ago) still offered better prospect and a higher standard of living than those European countries now going to hell. I knew some Ex-RAF that have joined up… and now play hockey! On paper it’s a good idea, but it also opens the door to less desirable candidates down the road as the project will inevitably expand for other types of aircraft. You crack open the doors and inevitably the usual scammers and third worlders will try to sneak in. (OTOH, the RCAF has done a good job maintaining good aircrew standards, often at the expense of quantity.) For example, many countries, including shithole ones, fly the Herk. Then it will be “multi-engine” or “helicopters”. As the CF’s main priority was, until not so long ago “culture change” and DEI and “diversity” has now taken a stranglehold on DND, being a visible minority will become a pre-requisite and move those at the top of the list (just like cabinet ministers). Why? To attract the immigrant hyphenated-Canadians to join up. Look!! The first Shithole- Canadian F35/C-17/CC130/CH148 pilot!
The other part that will lead to absolute scammers and imposters joining are “doctors, nurses”. Especially nurses. Then it will be admission to programs where the CF trains and pays the schooling of nurses and doctors.

  2. Well … the good news is … that the Canadian AF will get to see how their ‘newcomer’ recruits perform in the cockpit real soon … over Iran.

  3. The RCAF will soon welcome its first all-Chinese-Canadian fighter squadron.
Then the US will invade Chinada in self-defense.

  4. Ok that title got stolen from 222. Credit where due. US pilot just got charged with treason for teaching chicoms on F35 techs. Good luck scalping a US pilot, and if you don’t follow Shawn Newman podcast out of Lloyd you are missing out

    1. Brigadier-Gen, old hand that flew F4s right up to F35s. Apparently he talked about the USAF to the Chinese for 3 hours. That is what I read. But yeah, since there is a lot of shitting on Canada and stupid conspiracies of CCP and the CF being in bed, let’s rub that one in. Quizz: Who gave the CCP missile guidance technololy back in the Clinton years?

  5. If you want to recruit and keep Canadian pilots, why would you give the best jobs to foreigners. If I got turned down for an F-35 job, my next qualification would be a 747 for Air Canada. Why would they think they are gaining something? Like not sending Canadian kids to medical school and hiring most new doctors from Headhunter U.

    1. Air Canada? WHy would you want to wear a shitty polyester suit and work with those harpies dressed in maternity dress they call flight attendants? Cathay Pacific is where I’d apply.

  6. At this point I’m not even sure I want Canadians flying F-35s never mind new recruits with suspicious Chinese names.

  7. This is so much like California, Illinois and New York giving CDLs to illegal immigrants who cannot speak or read English that it’s like the second phase of a suicide pact.

  8. To get top level security clearance in Canada, you should be Canadian born and not a citizen of any other country. Every immigrant from China is a Chinese citizen for life and they are only allowed to get permission to leave for reasons only known to the Chinese Communist Party.

  9. What does it say for Canada that citizens are not willing to sign up to serve, to fight, in our military?
Citizens here know the #Libranos treat the military as an afterthought.
Maybe nobody really wants to fight for a post-national state where citizenship doesn’t mean what it used to?
Perhaps those foreign born people are just in search of social welfare benefits? Someone should point out the negatives of being a Canadian prior to anyone signing up for F-35 … or like all things the tiny penis #Libranos touch, signing up for the CF-35 because you know that’s what they do…

    1. What it means is that those that do choose to serve are doing so in bad faith.
Not a characteristic that is desirable when deployed in a hot situation.
If they are loyal only to themselves, their comrades in arms cannot depend on them.

    2. There are plenty of people signing up to be pilots. The problem is, and has always been and will always be, pilot production. With pilots already qualified on type it’s relatively easy to integrate them in the RCAF. It’s another thing if they need to be converted to an aircraft type. There are several bottlenecks in pilot production and they hope to bypass a few but realistically it’s going to be very small numbers. One thing to consider: ALL western armed forces are short of pilots. All of them. What does the RCAF have to offer over the competitors? Nice weather? Chain of command that will stand by you? Exciting career? Pay? Does your wife and kids want to spend years in Cold Lake or Bagotville?

  10. There are a couple of nations hostile to the West that would love to get their hands on an F-35.

  11. l gotta ask where are these foreigners who are already at their point of training and experience they can hop into an f35 right off the start? where are they GETTING to that level BEFORE coming into CanaDUH?? like seeeeeeriously ftw ??

    1. It happens. The main place they come from are the RAF and RAAF. Germans sometimes. They relocate not really for the job, but to emigrate. Herk pilots, Helo pilots and the odd fighter pilot. They get conversion on type sometimes, or can be slotted into an instructor position really easily, training Canadian pilots and freeing a Canadian to go to an operational squadron. If you can inject a useful body anywhere in the training pipeline, it helps.

  12. This seems like a direct provocation to the US….we’ll buy your jets, but we’ll have foreign pilots fly them near your airspace. One stray F-35 into US air space will be shot down immediatley I suspect. Perhaps the F-35 manufacturer should install a self destruct mechanism in these jets during assembly to actuate below the 49th parallel

  13. It’s honestly typical of Liberal conceptions of problem solving–always grabbing it from the wrong end.

Make the CF a place Canadians want to be, and the rest falls into place. But to do that, they have to create a Canada worth fighting for, and right now there isn’t such a thing.

  14. Useless wogs are a menace in 18-wheelers, and most of them can’t even drive a car. Only anti-Canadian self-hating liberal scumbags would bring in more of them to take to the skies in a jet fighter.

Maybe if they strafe the laurentien elite after they solo there’s an upside.
