From my initial reading (and admittedly, there is very little information), he has been arrested because of possible “treason” in sharing confidential government documents with Jeffrey Epstein and others. The King and the Prince of Wales are very correct to stay far, far away and say very little about this.

  3. Conquest was how the natives acquired land from other natives. It’s racist in the extreme to suggest that Neolithic people were somehow prelapsarian hippies who loved nature and each other until the late renaissance Europeans showed up for a land grab.

    The Europeans were imply better warriors. I mean the fight began in Plymouth Massachusetts and the natives backed up all the way to Santa Fe and then gave up. It’s not a good plan to be lingering in the late stone age when the early Enlightenment shows up.

    And just to be fair, the US actually paid for the land Mexico ceded to the US (including California) after the Mexican war. If you want to claim it was stolen, it was the Mexicans who “stole” it from the Aztecs

    1. Ask the French. When Champlain pushed west in 1615, he ran into the Huron and Algonquin. The Huron bamboozled him into picking a fight with some small loser tribe that were causing trouble. This turned out be the Iroquoi confederacy, a warrior Nation that had been busy expanding their empire and genociding other Nations (like the Mohicans) long before Europeans showed up. There followed about 100 years of war against them. As a matter of fact, the history of New France is pretty much the history of France allying with various other First Nations to defeat the Iroquoi. Bloody stuff, they were legendary in the craft of torture and it was a standard operating procedure to torture prisoners. Of course the Iroquoi sided with the British and were sub-contracted to kill Catholics. The Catholic Church owes many of their saints and martyrs to the Iroquoi. Canada’s first nations can thank the Iroquoi for British rule in Canada, along with all the other stuff they bitch aboot.

    Now we are going to issue “Military Assault Weapons” to all of the military aged males that have been allowed into the country under refugee status over the last ten years in order to bolster our non-existent national defence forces. Yeah I can see how that is going to work out. Make sure your native population have no guns and then issue arms and equipment to foreign nationals that hate our way of life and only arrived here for the social benefits that we so compassionately handed out. This gives a whole new meaning to stupid!!!!

  11. It’s disgusting but cynically amusing that the CBC precedes its article with “WARNING: This story contains distressing details”.
    The irony is that the distress for most is caused by the blatant untruths and humiliations we are expected to swallow and the fact that we have to pay for this brainwashing through our tax dollars. The CBC needs to have a stake driven through its heart.
