  1. Then, she must be positively wetting herself over Carney meeting Mini-Mao. Though I dont suppose our diligent press or savage Opposition will get around to asking her.

  2. Apparently, the woman likes that ‘the other people’ live in a totalitarian dicktatorship (sic), in poverty. Hunger will show them, they better follow and submit to the dicktat (sic)

  3. Follow up questions:
Which Castro regime policy decision do you admire the most?
What do you find most admirable about his cold betrayal of all his fellow ‘revolutionaries’ who helped him seize power? About his shambolic 50 year reign over a nation with not even the illusion of democracy? His virtually endless parade of political executions, for years after he seized power? His brutal repression of Cubans just “loving who they love”? His brutal repression of opposition movements? His ineptness in governance, in which he ran the nations economy and agricultural sectors into the ground? Which traits of this brutal, sadistic tyrant would you most like to emulate?

She’s seen the resorts, she hasn’t needed to depend on the gov’t of Cuba’s healthcare, or food distribution, or needed to have her 1958 model GE fan repaired in one of Havana’s many repair depots where they’ll repair your 78 year old electric fan you use to cool yourself as you have no real recollection of what functioning air conditioning is.

Cuba’s getting their own version of “tight oil”? they currrently have about 1-2 weeks supply, then everything stops. Slowly, then suddenly.

  5. The myth of Castro was so much larger than the man.
When they had his funeral procession, the casket was the size of a suitcase.

  6. Well let’s be fair to her … at least she doesn’t admire America, George Washington, or any other dead white colonialist who ‘stole land’ from indigenous people.

    1. You say that in jest, but unfortunately that is 100% true. Beeotch would not have that $458K/yr gubmint job if she had ever breathed a single word of approval for the USA as a nation, or for its founding fathers.

She might have been able to keep a job cleaning the bathrooms of the Farm Credit Canada offices, but even that is questionable. Union bosses have opinions too, and all those cleaners are CUPE. (Canadian Union of Public Employees.)

      1. The intended jest is that Castro STOLE all the assets and means of production created by FREE Cuban capitalists … the indigenous population in 1950’s Cuba.

        Communist theft – good
        Colonist development – bad

        Got it.

  7. When I hear stuff like this, it reminds me of nearly every mainstream news report or travelogue over the last 30 years which started off by mindlessly repeating that cringeworthy phrase: “But Cubans are fiercely proud of their revolution”.

    1. “But Cubans are fiercely proud of their revolution”.

I’ve never been there, but people who have say that the “fierce pride” drops off pretty quickly as you get farther away from the beach resort hotel.

Don’t go out after dark, gringos.

    2. “But Cubans are fiercely proud of their revolution”

Well, members of the politburo sure are, but then again, so is almost everyone fearful of being denounced for disloyalty before being tortured and imprisoned for saying otherwise (especially to foreign journalists), yeah.. them too..

  8. Send her to Cuba, then, one way!!

Oh and don’t mention the slavery..

    “Slavery in Cuba
began with the enslavement of the indigenous population in the early 16th century, but quickly shifted to a massive trade of over a million enslaved African people to support the island’s vast sugarcane production. The institution was formally abolished by a Spanish royal decree in 1886, making Cuba one of the last countries in the Western Hemisphere to do so.”

    1. “.. The institution was formally abolished by a Spanish royal decree in 1886”
Then promptly and equitably reinstated by Castro’s communist revolution in 1959..

  9. Pierre Trudeau made Maurice Strong CEO of PetroCan. It seems to be a Trudeau/Lieberal MO for Crown Corporations. Putting communists in charge.

  10. FCC needs to be closed down and sold off immediately just like the cbc. Plenty of private farm lenders out there.

  11. L – ”Government employee hiring must be based on relevant qualifications and merit in an open competition.”

Proposed amendment to the Constitution of Canada on a separate ballot for the next federal election, and the same amendment for the provincial constitution for each province.

Government employees would not be eligible to vote. Just to keep clear, who works for whom.

    1. And Kate … I can’t let that title go by without referencing one of my favorite Steely Dan stanzas …

      I crawl like a viper
      Through these suburban streets
      Make love to these women
      Languid and bittersweet
I’ll rise when the sun goes down
      Cover every game in town
      A world of my own
I’ll make it my home sweet home

Languid and bittersweet … women! Am I right?
