I used to blame the media for lying.
Now I blame the people who make the choice to believe their obvious lies.
The drug dealer doesn’t sell you drugs, you make a choice to buy them.
Now that I think about it; this is an interesting statement.
Why would they do so? Many of these people aren’t mentally deficient, not really. So what is it?
Could it be that there is no meaning in life any more? This is a desperate grasp at trying to find something outside oneself? and if so, how does one best redirect what is a positive trait away from a negative social phenomena…

Any time Trump comes up I try to get this on the record: “Look, we all know the MSM lies to us about Trump, so let’s keep that in mind while blah blah blah Orange Man Bad.”
If I can get that accepted then I ask them if they like being lied to because personally I hate it when I’m lied to.
Then I can start asking why they like being lied to and why they accept being lied to.
I would advise to stop using reason; this is more of an emotional/deep psychological need that all humans have — and that is why it’s so difficult to address. You can’t reason with it; you can only try to redirect.

And if we had people reading, discussing, studying books — like, for instance, in a class about literature (oops, I forgot that some people find those useless…) — anyway, if people read books, they might be better guarded against falling for psyops of a particularly nasty sort.
But yes, you are dealing with subverted human emotions, emotions that by themselves are not bad and are intrinsic (and not gender precluded I might add…they just take on different avenues of expression).

Perhaps one shouldn’t give too much credence to Instagram e-girls (or e-boys). The internet algorithms do tend to select for certain bias, creating an impression that a certain worldview has more power than what it really does. Instagram does tend to encourage a ‘curated’ image that perhaps has little to do with reality.

But I will grant you that lack of meaningful(!) relationships, particularly family formation, is one of the big things eating at both genders. It isn’t the only thing — meaning is also an individual pursuit, a particular path distinct to each person — but it is a significant one.
It is much easier to get people to believe a lie than it is to convince them they have been lied to.

Of course it hasn’t. Women figure out what it’s fashionable to believe, i.e. what their friends have heard on TV or on Instagram—often from the favourite movie star they think about when waiting for their husbands to finish and get off them and fall asleep. Then theh think that too.

I believe that most women are programmed to please … and above all else to be … liked. The easiest way to be liked is to go along with the crowd … and with the popular opinion (as represented in the media).
Yes, nose rings, tats, and blue hair are actually ‘liked’ and popular with the folks they are hoping to impress. Going along with the crowd isn’t what it used to mean.
