National Post- Federal government confirms 25 guns collected in ‘buyback’ pilot,

Public Safety Canada, the department overseeing the program, had, up until Wednesday, only signed two agreements with local jurisdictions whose police agreed to collect firearms to be turned over by gun owners under the controversial program. Those services were in Winnipeg and Cape Breton, the latter of which helped the federal government pilot a test-run of the program, set to be rolled out nationally sometime this month.

  1. “the federal government will be collecting these weapons through mobile collection units that will be dispatched across the country”

    Oh beauty.
You gonna put advertising on the van?

Maybe like the ol timey knife sharpening guy you can ring a bell or, like the ice cream truck, play some kiddy-pedo music.

  2. “Hi, I’m from the Government, and I’m here to buy your guns with your taxpayer dollars.”

“I’m sorry, but I can’t sell them to you.
You didn’t pass my background check with your history of mass murder & violence.
    But have a nice day!”

    1. L – Does the background check have a question about the transferee being both morally and financially bankrupt? Or having a relationship breakdown, e.i. due to a failure to fulfill their sacred duty to serve the people but instead being guilty of relationship abuse?

I have a dream of the reestablishment of “a free and democratic society” and government of the people, by the people and for the people! Included would be Sir Robert Peel’s 9 Rules of Policing. The rebuilding of a trust society, was a foundation of Western Civilization; it is a task for the Second Reformation.

  3. Liberal Party of Canada must decide;
    … double down
    … keep the charade going

That’s an easy choice for a 158 year old corrupt organization
of teachers (“if you can’t do”) which fails miserably at everything it touches.

  4. This very much seems like a distraction to make you look at the shiny thing while entire shipping containers full of money are sent off to “Friends” in Ukraine. Or China, or wherever the f- is it this week.

Anybody out there want to guess at how much of Canadian retail is money laundering? Guesses should start at 40% and go up from there. But here they are, putting gun control back in the headlines.

  5. Runkle of the Bailey has a good video out on this.
Apparently the government promised one guy a couple grand then said “tough shit here’s $500”.
