  1. Apropos of nothing … I am watching The Spy Who Loved Me … a fun Roger Moore 007 romp on the MGM channel. And it stars Barbara Bach a girl from Queens NY who is stunningly beautiful in the film.

    It should be noted that she is STILL married to the goofiest looking Beatle, Ringo Starr (and they have 3 children of their own … and several grandchildren). They have been married since 1981. Quite a feat for an actor or musician. I always sensed there was something just Right as Rain about Ringo. A right good lad.

    Here’s a colorized video clip of the Beatles superb B-side tune, Rain … which Ringo considered his finest creative effort (it is fabulous). Can you even imagine writing and performing a tune this sensational … and it gets essentially thrown away as a B-side during the Firehose era of Beatles music absolutely flooding the airwaves. Sorry, everyone loves to hate the Beatles now … but come on … their unprecedented downpour of sensational music literally defined Western culture for a decade.

    Ringo’s alright with me … and anyone who can score Barbara Bach and keep her since 1981 is doing something right. BTW my own wife and I have been married since 1982 … and also had 3 children. And yes … my wife is just as stunning as Barbara Bach. Almost.

    1. The tune reminds me why I will always remain a massive George Harrison fan. His psychedelic sound on rain with guitars tuned, modded, and played to sound much like sitars by both he and Lennon is delicious to my ear. His halting lead passages and fills are still unique to this day. The tempo changes are infectious.

      It’s never how FAST you play … for me anyway … it’s the composition. The melody and the tune. George had an ear. Had a knack for writing great guitar passages … as did Paul McCartney.

    1. I wish this were true, but I don’t trust them at all to stop doing this. Investigating non-crime “hate” incidents is so much easier than investigating . . . wait for it . . . REAL crime!

    I got fireplace tools for Christmas. AWESOME!

    It’s a pleasure to heat with wood and restore necessary CO2 to the atmosphere.
