In Italy the number was even starker with just one in every 100 doctors was not trained at home.
I would only ever visit a foreign doctor if I could see his degree. If it says Oxford University, no problem. If it says University of Zimbabwe, don’t think so. Why the hell can’t Canada train our kids to be doctors? Seriously, what’s the problem? Is someone seriously deluded into thinking that 7-Eleven clerks work cheaper as doctors?
But, but, but … if UK patients demand a Doctor who “looks like them” … then I’d say the percentage of Doctors from faraway places is a little lighter than needed. If the Deep State UK is bent on replacing its native peoples … then it must be bent on replacing all its Doctors and a nurses as well.
And if you complain about it … the Starmer police force will jail you.
In Ontario, Bob Rae shut down or reduced a bunch of medical schools. Subsequent governments haven’t increased the number of spaces since then. Even if they do, the Ontario Medical Association controls the number of residencies in the province and they won’t increase the number.
They consider 30% a “small number” of foreigners?
Gotta be 50%+ in North America from what I’ve seen.
It is in my Nor CAL HMO. And NONE of the Caucasian Doctors are taking new patients … because everyone wants a “Doctor who looks like them” … so they’re overbooked.
I have not ever had a foreign doctor in my 69 years.
