Drill, Baby, Drill

Telegraph- Norway strikes oil in North Sea near British waters

Norway has drilled around 45 exploratory wells in 2025, with 12 yielding commercial quantities of oil and gas. This included 30 in the North Sea of which six were economic.

Its discoveries are in stark contrast to the UK sector of the North Sea, which has been hit by the Government’s 78pc total tax rate on oil and gas profits and a ban on new exploration.

  1. When you have a valuable resource and are not utilizing it. this is entirely your own fault.

Let’s look at this closer to home. I’m convinced that Trudeau & Carney have received explicit instructions from the WEF elites, who control them, to manage a steady decline of Canada.

Also, many ask why Québec hasn’t tapped into much of its rich resources? Because of the corrupt Equalization Act, there’s absolutely no reason too. The less money La Belle Provence earns from their own people, the more they’re given by Alberta.

    1. Quebec will tap its own natural resources once it can no longer profit off of everyone elses.

  2. The British are pitting cultural suicide versus economic suicide.
Either way, they die and die poorly.

  3. “Ed Miliband, the Energy Secretary, argues that the UK’s North Sea is in inexorable decline and the country must break its reliance on fossil fuels. Some industry experts disagree, saying the UK will need oil and gas for decades to come and North Sea reserves could supply much of the country’s needs.”

I disagree with 100% of whatever the UK Gov’t comments on. Perhaps the citizens of the UK would like the gov’t to “break its reliance” on the taxpayers of the nation in which they increasingly see confiscatory tax rates paying for items the citizens don’t support. To think that the gov’t braintrust thinks its a better idea to pay for imported petrol products and rely on taxing whatever the UK produces in which to fund their future seems disconnected with the reality of how the world works. The thinking people remaining in the UK ought to configure an exit plan before their new citizens decide it for them. It’ll be REAL difficult to remigrate them when the governing braintrust realizes it’s all been a grave error.

If the UK changed course, drilled and produced as much petrol as possible, it’s not going to be a greater aid to whatever they’re protesting of… oil is fungible world wide, something the current imbecile #Libranos haven’t understood either…

  4. Peace deal in Russia, grown ups take over Venezuela, more Norwegian oil comes on line and Alberta crippled with federal rules for oil production.

Not looking good for a “sovereign” Alberta within Canada when all the usual suspects are shooting at us. I’m sure Canada would help us out if we fell on hard times. Especially if it was caused by Canada. Ha

        1. Nothing that extreme, the oil is drained from the mountain’s base using something like pub beer taps, one for heavy crude and one for light crude.
