Cities grow communists because there’s plenty of fertilizer. Even before the pronouns BS, people thought that dealing with irate customers in any store was the hardest of work. It’s not fun, but several generations grew up without understanding what hard work really is. I’m several decades past my prime, and even I only have a passing acquaintance with it, having done a bit of farm work as a lad, and not even hard work. Idle hands are the communists’ useful idiots, unless you’re lucky enough to have a functioning brain with developed logic processes.
I see only a couple of possible solutions: a famine; or selective service (agricultural labour, working in some capacity in remote locations, manufacturing, or military). Without people needing to get callused hands, I don’t see the problem going away. But none of that would matter without destroying the education system and public-sector unions.
That’s the beauty of low trust societies. You have no way of knowing who is or is not a “state asset”. Lauren could actually still be one after this “deflection” as could Kate or anyone else that comments here. What is clear is that we are seeing a non-transparent inversion of McCarthyism where the left is now using the state to go after the so-called “right”. When: Jihad is condoned, the media is on the state payroll, thought crime is ascendent, cultural Marxism is institutionalized, the welfare state is bankrupt, democracy is a farse and liberty is being extinguished.

CSIS is supposed to protect the nation’s security.
If you use threats and intimidation of law-abiding Canadian citizens to accomplish this, then the nation’s security really just means a certain power structure outside of democracy.

In the above video linked by Robert, “A lot to unpack” at the 1.00 – 1.10 timestamp area, Lauren Southern is being questioned at the parliamentary “Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security” by a couple of #Librano MP’s … this was posted here in full on SDA at about the day it occurred in Ottawa and I think it’s a decent summation of why I despise everything about how the governing side questions citizens, how parliamentarians speak to each other in The House, particularly how they respond in Question Period which is an exercise in idiocy, how they twist what may be nominally true into something not having any relationship with truth at all, and are then rewarded handsomely by a gov’t which no longer serves the people of Canada.
It’s a large part of why I hope Canada fails, and I recognize I’m saying this on Remembrance Day, set aside to thank, honor, and remember those who fought, fell, and returned unimaginable injured in order to fight for our freedoms, all of which, which has been kneecapped and smashed since 1960 not appearing to resemble anything like what the truth actually is.
Our gov’t works to corral people into saying things they don’t believe, so they and their ideas can be used as sound bites and video clips to show why the overbearing future desired by #Libranos is the only safe way. While only an imbecile would believe the very words those #Libranos and gov’t “security forces” use to corral us into silence.
And those entrusted to work in police forces, or intelligence services, are equally idiotic, believing in both the #Libranos, and in their own means to enforcement.
All of it, on our dime.
I believe nothing from the federal government of Canada, nothing. We live in a world where 80% of the world’s governments give the other 20% a bad name, and at head of this class are the majority of the so called “liberal democracies” … every day in the USA (and I’m not siding with them 100% either), there are new revelations being publicized which expose the layers of gov’t built lies meant to extinguish the truth, and to enslave a new generation of citizens, all dutifully reported by in Canada, our entirely gov’t welfare dependent media whores.
This is what people do in countries they’re proud to live in, and where they’re proud to say, “I am a citizen”.
