after he wrestled with a fugitive, who was out on probation, and had a weapon…. and BROKE INTO HIS HOME AT 3 AM.
WHY even BOTHER calling the police?!? pic.twitter.com/bZ2mhp6gv1

But remember, as the bought-and-paid-for Canadian media frequently tell us, everything is entirely fine in Canada. Repeat to yourself 50 times: Trump is the bad man, Trump is the bad man. America bad. Canada good.
Update: Ezra Levant has chimed in.

Your only unalienable right in the Lieberal Democratic Peoples Republic of Kanada is to be a victim. If an assailant murders you, don’t despair, you can be rest assured the government will prosecute the assailant and have a failed lawyer turn him loose after.
Also, like good little serfdom sheeple, Bleat 50 times: “Orange Man Bad! America Bad! Kanada Good!”
As is so often the case the details are being withheld. I asked my robot to do an in-depth search and this is all we could learn. https://www.perplexity.ai/search/a-canadian-homeowner-has-been-S5guebdNT4Wia2xOoB_bRQ
They claim that they’re withholding details to protect the investigation but that not likely. I’m guessing that they’re withholding details to protect the police. In Canada now the police are a lot to themselves it seems.
I’m in a riding where just about everyone is either Liberal or pinky-yellow Conservative. So after the G’days are over, they quickly steer the conversations to Trump, Trump, Trump. For the past few months my reply has been:
“Yup, Trump, Trump, Trump! Just keep focusing on that Big Bad Orange Squirrel so they can keep stealing off your plate and keep turning your country into a bigger shithole. That’s what they want you to do.”
TBF … you wouldn’t want beautiful, peaceful, Canada becoming like Florida where crazy white people can SHOOT intruders without question … right? Perhaps this intruder just busted down the wrong door? Perhaps he meant to sneak into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment who lives on the floor above? This noble, peaceful, wonderful Canadian citizen just made … a minor mistake. Right? He shouldn’t get killed for an innocent mistake? Right? Ohhhhhhhhhh mommmaaaaaaa … those “violent”, “hateful” Red-State Floridians …
“I swear officer, during the struggle, he wrestled the gun away from me and shot himself six times! And as you can see, he still has the gun in his hand and his fingerprints are all over it.”
“That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
Shrug. This is happening in a province with a “Conservative ” government.
PP’s Province? Because that would “fit”.
Yes, that’s exactly what I’d want.

l, sadly, at this time. point out IVE BEEN SAYING IT FOR YEARS.
NEVER TRUST ANY COP ABOUT ANYTHING ANYWHERE EVER.
sooooooooo SDA do you ‘get it’ now???? hmmmm????
No….actually we don’t “get it” now. It’s not the cops, it is the politicians and the police commissions that are the problem. Your comment about never trusting any cop about anything anywhere is the babbling of a moron.
It’s the police in the small things like, “did you see what happened here today?”
It’s the politicians in the big things like, “were you illegally protesting for freedom?”
It’s the garbage constitution of tier 2 Canada which doesn’t protect individual rights, private property, free speech, not that the US Constitution has been outstanding in this regard, but it’s far better than the POS we’re stuck with.

Joey B: You are absolutely correct that the politicians and police commissions are the problem.
But sometimes it is the cops.
really? based on 30 years experience, observation, experiences of associates and even longer news stories? is there a way to tally the youtube vids of cops hammering the bejeezuz out of some frail old thing and 1,000s of successful lawsuits?
this is called ‘dont talk to police’: by those with vastly more inside knowledge:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-7o9xYp7eE&t=2332s&pp=ygUUbmV2ZXIgdGFsayB0byBwb2xpY2U%3D
looks like mr lindsay home owner fergot to injure himself as part of the alibi.
that reminds me, gotta send them a communique thanking them for reinforcing the notion to NEVER call cops.
never trust any cop about anything ever anywhere. they are NEVER on ‘your side’ they are ONLY on ‘their’ side so do tell JB where does that leave the compliant trusting canadians?
This is actually true.
My recommendation is never talk to the police about anything unless it’s through a lawyer. Many well-meaning law-abiding citizens have found themselves in trouble because they wanted to co-operate with law enforcement.
Yes, exactly. But far many people still think the cops are either on their side or neutral.
There’s also the intimidation factor as in the strongly expressed “What do you mean you don’t want to talk to us. Do you have something to hide.”
Unfortunately it is talk like this that puts cops in danger. My daughter is a cop and she puts up with crap like that all the time. That escalates. Cut the crap. Point your anger at police commissions and politicians who direct the policy of the police.
Cops are in danger from criminals, not from people who defend themselves from criminals only to be accused of a crime themselves.
Nor are cops in danger from folks who don’t want to talk to them, as is their right.
Cops are on … the government’s side. Not yours. They have pensions and bloated salaries to protect. They’ll never ever go against government edicts. Bite the hand that feeds them!? AYFKM?
Good advice.
The cops are not your friends. And neither are the politicians.
Good advice. The cops are on their side FIRST, their political masters’ side SECOND, and yours LAST.
Too many Canadians cruise on the backs of the Canadians in the past that built Canada….it is a form of political “stolen valor”. It is nauseating.
The police/justice system are pushing people closer and closer to,
S – S – S
You beat me to that!
No….the politicians are.
NO, the voters are, as they determine who the politicians in charge are!
So which country, the UK or Canada, is ahead in the the race to gut and overturn English Common Law?
I’d sit on that jury. Sovereign jury. Probs illegal to talk about this once you’ve been selected for jury duty, and best be aware of it beforehand and some of the history of it.
I don’t see another way forward to fight this. The chances of winning this in Canada is so monumentally stacked against an individual who’s had their house broken into it’s ridiculous.
Me too. And I’d send the jury to hell before I’d vote to convict.
Some MSM coverage of this event… but no name of the actual instigator here
https://torontosun.com/news/local-news/warmington-sleeping-man-who-allegedly-defended-himself-against-intruder-faces-charges
So the guy who was on probation will get a bail hearing after release from hospital. So exactly what condition must you break to have your probation revoked? And why don’t we have the name and picture of this convicted criminal? The reasons are to bizarre to contemplate. If this continues, who will care about following any laws or rules?
Since the Black Robes ruled that everyone gets bail, unless the crown can show beyond a reasonable doubt that the risk to the public is greater than the violation of the offenders rights to a presumption of innocence.
In September 1971 Jean-Pierre Goyer introduced the penal reforms where prisoners’ in federal penitentiaries were permitted to grow their hair long; allowed greater chances to earn parole; were permitted for the first time in Canadian history conjugal visits with their wives and girlfriends; and allowed greater educational opportunities as most Canadian criminals were barely literate.
Goyer told the House of Commons when introducing his bill: “For too long a time now, our punishment-oriented society has cultivated a state of mind that demands that offenders, whatever their age, and whatever the offense, be placed behind bars. Too many Canadians object to looking at offenders as members of our society, and seem to disregard the fact that the correctional process aims at making the offender a useful and law-abiding citizen, and not any more an individual alienated from society and in conflict with it. CONSEQUENTLY, WE HAVE DECIDED FROM NOW ON TO STRESS THE REHABILITATION OF INDIVIDUALS, RATHER THAN THE PROTECTION OF SOCIETY. Our reforms will perhaps be criticized for being too liberal or for omitting to protect society against dangerous criminals. THIS NEW POLICY WILL PROBABLY INVOLVE SOME RISK, but we cannot maintain a system which in itself can cause even more obvious dangers.”
Everything the Trudeauites touches turns to crap….everything.
What we really need is Monday Night Rehabilitation.
Joey B,
For the good of the country, something/multiple things should have happened to the Jean-Pierre Goyer family,,, that very month, in Sept 1971.
Apparently nothing happened to change his mind.
More spineless laurentien elite social re-engineering to hasten the country’s demise.
You cannot despise and loathe the hardcore liberals enough.
There is so little information given that I see a lot of knee-jerk reactions (maybe that was the media’s intent). Like, were they known to each other? If so, one might wonder if it was a targeted event and why was he targeted. So little info given.
I was wondering that myself…did they know each other? Was there a bad drug debt? Something else?
L – The Right of Jury Nullification was established in British Common-Law, as a check on gov’t. abusing its power for political purposes. What is now called Lawfare. It still exists in Canada for
now, at least. However, the knowledge that it exists is mostly secret in Canada. The court does not apprise the jurors of this Right, but honour it if a juror exercises it.
The entire concept that both British Common-Law, the very concept of Rights being Natural Rights, derived from God. Oft referred to as birthrights, add in Parliamentary Democracy. That everything is designed purposely as a check, a hard stop to capricious and arbitrary power.
But to return to the Rights, that Canadians had in the 20th Century, requires dealing with an appointed Senate and appointed Supreme Court, chosen by Justin Trudeau and not replaceable, until they’re 75 yrs of age. This is why the power of Independence has become the only way to have Canadians, even be aware of the arguments.
What the media has taught me today – if an intruder breaks into my home and I successfully defend myself, my family and my property, and in doing so I critically injure the intruder, my best course of action is to drag him into the ditch a couple of km’s away, clean up the mess and go back to bed. If he wants the cops or an ambulance then he can call them, if he’s able.

and THIS will be the centrepiece of my communication with lindsay cops. because
THIS IS WHAT THE ARREST HAS ENCOURAGED.

Agreed !
All hail the State of Thuggery.
The individual has neither rights nor freedom in Can Ahh Duh.
And after the “State of Emergency” behaviour by the “police Forces” in Ottawa against the Truckers, police members have nowhere to go.
Masked.
Badges removed.
Non held accountable.
The Coutts Lawfare.
The wilful destruction of private property in police hands.
That glorious coverup in the East. How many murdered by a police groupie/informant?..
Too many lies..yet we still have volunteers to “Serve and Protect”..
Are they blind?
Or do they seek out this corruption?
Who and what is being served?
What is being protected?
Why should I fund, through my taxes, a force that wants to steal from me?
Seeks to imprison me??
Openly works against the interests of me and mine?
It has come to this.
The west cannot Leave this kleptocracy quickly enough.
And we will not be well served by allowing the Federal Thugs to enlist in the new nations police.
If it takes me going to jail after killing someone attempting to harm me &/or mine, it’s worth every second behind bars ’cause the prick will never be out on bail to do it again.
Just be sure when he’s history you apply a little self harm – a nice bloody but not serious forearm cut and get his prints on the knife. You might be ok.
Pretty rotten state of affairs in this country, isn’t it?
One can understand the distrust. All one needs to remember is High River.

Apparently the intruder was armed with some kind of weapon and was hospitalized from the injuries. Sorry but if you break in and brandish a weapon and you get rocked by the homeowner that’s tough nuts for you. They’re saying the force was unreasonable here. What’s reasonable when an intruder comes armed?
Used to shoot with some cops and got some advice
– Two to center mass and a warning shot in the ceiling
– If you use a baseball bat have a glove and ball around, a bat alone is a weapon, a bat, glove and ball is sports equipment
– we know you are guilty, we just don’t know of what yet
