  1. I enjoyed that post. By refusing to address the actual act and source of the trash they immediately remove the potential for repercussions relative to the act. They remove fault and skirt on by to discuss the logistics of clean-up without consideration for deterrents or penalties that would diminish the behavior.

    Two words:

    “Personal Responsibility”

That concept is removed from the discussion to avoid the hard truths concerning the shortcomings of behavior by inner city youths. And, simultaneously looks for a less personal cause that points out at a different party which would, also, serve the goal of highlighting the true offender’s “victimization.”

This isn’t a natural reaction that would occur to someone in a vacuum. It has to be ingrained, taught, and reinforced.

  2. We removed the concept of charity and thankfulness, and replaced it with entitlement.

Now, people who get cheap or free housing from “the state” (us, you and me) have no need to be thankful. They have a prideful need to disparage what they get from our wallets as not being good enough.

We should go back to private charity, where a recipient knows always that he is getting something from my pocket without paying me.

And if he displeases me, let him live in a tent in the woods.

  3. “Manitoba” is old language word for “garbage toss area”.

Why were ancient people nomads? They had to move away from their accumulated garbage.
