  1. There is something very much deeper going on here that is beyond the ‘ken’ of most people. Is the ‘deep state’ so immense that for Trump and his administration to totally expose it, would in essence, bring down the whole structure of the American ideal? Would the cost of total exposure be worth the possible cost of total obliteration of the belief and faith of the American public? The about-face exhibited in the last few days of the Trump administration has to be critically examined and questioned. If the Epstein island, ranch, and townhouse were ‘wired’ as alleged then over the years there have been tens of thousands of images created, these were not images that Epstein gathered of ‘child pornography’ from the internet for his own gratification. One could surmise that this was his source of ‘funds’. Suppose this was akin to the ‘grooming gangs’ in England but on an international scale, with enormously wealthy and influential players participating, then full exposure could set off a financial destruction that would make the ‘Hungry Thirties’ look like a kid’s birthday party at Mickey D’s. Would any administration want to take that chance or would they rather try and kick it down the road and hope that peole lose interest? The problem is that without accountability we could still be headed to the ultimate crash of Western Society.

  3. This result or decision on the Epstein file is not what the MAGA people voted for.

    It could be that it’s too big a problem, there could be too many folks implicated on both sides of the aisle.
    It could be there’s a personal danger to all those who would need to take part in a complete release of those files, including those in cabinet and the President himself. I don’t know if the Secret Service is up to the task.
    I guess that’s the danger.
    The casual posts on X/Twitter seem to ask a lot of good questions, and though my X/Twitter followings lean heavily to MAGA and the right in general (I think less than 1% are on the left) I don’t see that they’re asking anything they weren’t promised, even while the Admin isn’t answering them.

    If this splits the vote, along with Elon Musk’s efforts to start a new party, the right will be in the minority for a very long time, and we won’t recognize what happened to the GOP, or with the USA.

    The Epstein file was active prior to the other events of the day which Trump asked about in his news conference with Bondi and Rubio.

    Every room in the Epstein house was wired for photos, audio, video, and there are no recognizable faces in the safe full of recordings which the FBI safe cracker team accessed whereby the children’s or victim’s faces can’t be blurred out?

    I don’t believe it, and I don’t care how high up the chain of command this goes. Is the CIA standing in the way? disband it, don’t try to save the “good parts” and start over.

      If Trump is/was implicated, that would have been exposed before he won the election, just to stop him winning. Others on both sides of the aisle is a given, just ask Cawthorne.

      1. I don’t suspect Trump is involved or implicated.
        There is a large portion of MAGA who believe they were promised the files would be released. Stating the file is now closed won’t help.
        Maybe Matt Gaetz would be a better choice than Bondi, and is this at all related to the Democrats and some GOP not showing initial support to have Gaetz confirmed, so the GOP had to settle on Bondi?

        There is a large portion of Democrats who are silent.

    1. That comment about Bondi is utterly ridiculous and sounds somewhat personal … such as Sundance hates her as a “homophobe” or some other underlying grievance.

      Pam Bondi SERVES her employer … her POTUS. She takes ALL her direction from PDJT. Sundance is not intellectually moored enough to understand “loyalty” and “chain of command”. If he thinks Bondi is going to go rogue and pull an Ed Snowden … he’s intellectually disingenuous. And Trump is obviously making decisions of the cost-benefit of revealing the inner workings of American Intelligence tactics.

      Having said that … do I WANT transparency. But … at what cost? Should the MOSSAD have revealed they planted bombs inside Hezbollah pagers? Or set up drone bases in Iran? Anyone who believes our Intelligence Agencies must be completely transparent is just being absurd. But running an underage honey trap for decades? Yeah … that creepy enough for some serious sanitizing sunlight … but that decision is being made wayyyyy above Bondi’s security clearance.

      1. Bondi was instrumental in the prosecution of the totally innocent George Zimmerman for the self-defence shooting of Trayvon Martin, even after the cops and junior prosecutors said there was no case.

  5. I’m going with ‘the simplest explanation is usually the best’ here.

    That there weren’t dozens of international celebrities and politicians routinely flying to his island to have sex with children; how incredibly *dumb* would they all have to be to know Epstein, know his proclivities and yet still trust this man to not record them doing so?

    That when Pam Bondi said “it’s on my desk right now” she was referring to the entirety of the Epstein file, which was *rumored* to contain a list of some kind…she hadn’t had time yet to go through it even to check what was there. It probably wasn’t even physically “on (her) desk” at all: it it was probably boxes of videotapes along with some written material.

    And that when people say “Trump was involved…he was on the tapes!” that’s the dumbest theory of all. If Donald Trump was in any way involved the Biden administration, who had total control of this evidence for years, would ABSOLUTELY have used it against him by releasing any damaging information they had. Guaranteed.

    I enjoy a salacious story as much as the next guy, but I just don’t buy this one, sorry. If Epstein was really murdered in his cell, don’t you think that professionals would have done the job? They don’t leave evidence like broken hyoid bones and one-minute gaps in videotape…they know how to do this stuff properly and quietly.

    Show me some tangible and incontrovertible evidence to the contrary and I will change my mind.

    2. Fred, the notion that there was a list is a diversion. Epstein likely didn’t have a little black book with the names of all the abusers of the underage girls that were trafficked.

      Having said that, it is beyond reason to believe that the DOJ and the FBI don’t know who the guilty are, and likely have known for a while.

      So, they trot out the there-isn’t-a list excuse, presumably because the truth is to hot to handle.

      1. One of the interesting aspects of the whole Epstein scandal is that the only two people who have paid a price are two Brits: Prince Andrew, who paid a million-dollar settlement, and Ghislaine Maxwell, who is in prison for the crime of trafficking underage girls—to presumedly no one.

          And let me remind you that that the Feds LOST their prosecution of sex-trafficker, sex-pervert, underage diddler P. Diddy. They threw all the baby oil they could muster at Diddy and got diddly squat. The FEDS make OUTRAGEOUS charges … and just end up screwing the pooch themselves (probably literally in the case of Comey’s dog-faced daughter).

          As if Epstein’s “Dream Team” of Lawyers wouldn’t have performed as well as Diddy’s … beggars belief. Epstein had NOTHING to FEAR … other than the CIA’s assassination squad.

          Sayyyyy … what HAVE we learned about Trump’s would-be assassins? Yeah … NOTHING. It appears some of the CIA’s “insurance policies” don’t cover the target value. And it will all be swept under the rug as Defense Lawyers are fired. Motions filed. Trial delayed. Yep … still NOTHING. No info.

        You may be right…but what if the only person they have any actual evidence against is Epstein himself?

        Again, possible…but we know from past experience how both agencies are full of people who are inclined to be partisan. SOMEONE would leak that information if they had access to it, wouldn’t they?

            Either way, this needs to be concluded one way or the other ASAP (else the damage will continue to grow and weaken the Trump presidency).

  6. Personally, I had no invested interest in the Epstein story other than thinking it would be kind of fun to watch certain individuals squirm under the lights.

    I found the most telling, and interesting part of it all to have occurred back in 2008. Palm Beach County police built a solid all inclusive case that had Epstein, absolutely nailed. Then, the Feds stepped in. The Feds claimed to have opened an investigative file on him starting one year earlier (whether they had or not is up for debate). The Feds (FBI) plea bargained with Epstein when he, presumably, had minimal leverage. He was eventually charged and pled guilty to two felony “prostitution solicitation” charges. Dropped (without explanation) was the charge of trafficking minors and a vast majority of the more serious findings of the Palm Beach County investigation (and eventual arrest). Additionally, the Feds gave Epstein a NPA (Non-prosecution Agreement) on Federal charges without Epstein having the leverage to solicit anything along those lines. They never told the victims of his crimes that it was given to him (which rarely occurs, at least out in the light of day).

    Eventually, Epstein was put in a work release program and there is no documentation indicating whether he complied with that sentence. Likely, he didn’t.

    Epstein at that point was either continuing as an intelligence asset, or became an intelligence asset. But, it’s patently obvious that the law was not being applied in a generic or traditional sense.

  7. It seems unlikely that these recent revelations from Bondi, Patel and Bongino will split or destroy the MAGA movement. The FBI’s Epstein file package is just one tentacle of Washington DC Swamp creature. Other tentacles include but are not limited to voter fraud/election stealing, Jan 6 cover-up, Congressional insider trading, Big Pharma and CDC/FDA collusion, military industrial complex and endless wars, USAID, the Biden Crime Family influence peddling…it’s only real prominence is that the
    Epstein story is titallating.

    Rush Limbaugh reported more then once that Palm Beach, FL law enforcement had boxes of evidence that were never used due to Epstein’s plea deal in 2007-8. No release of those files either.
