Stories like this often come in groups, and what set off the present cascade was a particularly grim incident from 22 June in Gelnhausen (Hessen), in which a group of Syrian migrants aged 18 to 28 molested eight or nine underage girls at the local pool. When the girls first complained about what was happening, pool personnel sent them back into the water. After this incident became a nationwide story, the mayor of Gelnhausen, Christian Litzinger (CDU) gave an interview in which he appeared to ascribe the crime to “high temperatures,” which can cause “tempers to flare up.”

—Official German statistics indicate that in 2024, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) registered 423 sexual assaults in swimming pools across Germany.
—The overwhelming majority of sexual assaults in outdoor swimming pools in Germany are committed by men.
—In 2024, 237 out of 367 recorded incidents of sexual assault in outdoor swimming pools were committed by foreigners.
—Nearly 65% of perpetrators in the 423 registered sexual assaults in swimming pools in 2024 were non-German.
—There have been news reports of specific incidents of sexual assault at swimming pools in Germany, including a recent case in Hesse involving multiple young girls and several Syrian men
And the other 35% were committed by German citizens who have just been granted citizenship but are from foreign (the usual suspects) countries … and/or … are second generation children of parents who arrived in Germany from (the usual suspect) countries and incompatible cultures.

OMG, I saw the hilariously/insane graphic yesterday and brought it to my wife’s attention for shared guffaws. BUT I had not noticed that he was brown AND disabled (with a peg leg).
