Globe and Mail- Carney’s cabinet: a familiar mix of quotas, duplication and pork-barrel politics
Ladies and gentlemen, we have been had.
Cast your mind back two months, to March 14. On that day, just five days after he had won the Liberal leadership, Mark Carney was sworn in as Prime Minister, at the same time appointing a new cabinet. The air was thick with talk of “new realities” and “existential crises.”

Isn’t this the same Andrew Coyne who was -raging- at the very idea of Alberta daring to speak the word “separation” yesterday?
Wadda maroon.
same andrew coyne as related to the trudeau family

As Dickhead writes, PM Lithpy and his office held the power and the cabinet members were just along for the ride.
So who’s in the PMO?
PM Carnage strikes me as a greenhorn newbie in this office. mebbe related tot he fact he was in support roles etc but never elected prior.
and now he’s being ‘advised’ on ‘how it works’. thus same old same old same old.
but CanaDUH must be gloriously ecstatic over it, THEY VOTED FOR IT THEY ARE GONNA GET IT DRIVEN UP THEIR ARSE AND IN THEIR EARS NOSTRILS MOUTH THROAT LIBERALISM EVERYWHERE ALWAYS EVERYTHING EVERYONE
because . . . . . . ? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . that was their CHOICE
Carney made his way through the bureaucracy and wealth management companies by being a “yes” man.
Now he’s the boss and hasn’t a clue like a dog that chases cars and the day comes when they actually catches one.
I guess Coyne has a mouse in his pocket.
Perhaps he’s just happy to see you?
He reminds me of Captain Renault from Casablanca. What’s new is he’s making it okay for readers who get their news from inside the bubble to think there might be more surprises. That the earth may revolve around the sun. That storks don’t bring babies.
The buyers remorse is strong with this one.
Once every hundred columns or so these sucks pen a story like this to “prove” impartiality should the need ever arise.
It’s what passes for even-handedness nowadays.
That may be the case, but Coyne sure struck a disillusioned tone with that one.
Oh, and Andrew, if you meant that, then you just caught up with the discerning adults, you cloying gawky goof who lacks a manly chin.
Bi polar Andrew was just as outraged during Ad Scam back around 2005. As you may have noted, medication or greenbacks usually shut him up until the next election cycle. He’s going to hold his breath until someone does something about this.
Who has been had?
The gimme, gimme, gimme crowd sure as hell knew what they were voting for: more gimme, gimme, gimme!
The people that pay for it certainly didn’t vote for it. But their vote doesn’t count for SFA.
“We have been had”!!
No. Please don’t lump us in with the mob you represent.
“And when the people behave like sheep, that breeds a government of wolves”
This “country” deserves what’s coming at it down the pike. Good and hard!
So, Coyne admits to being dumber than a bag of hammers.
Many of us were scolding him online, during the election, for showing so much trust in his beloved LIEberals.
Either he was lying for partisan purposes, or, again, dumb as a bag of hammers.
Or, BOTH.
This is why we don’t trust LIEberals, the Media or their Pundits. Ever.
Andrew Coyne can KMHUA. Along w/ the rest of the Laurentian Elites, [spit] Progs & MSM urinalists.
He laid it out but we all knew this. The Prime Minister’s Office dictates everything. The museum of Parliament doesn’t have to be opened ever again, it is useless theatre. Let’s end this place already…
We don’t need ministers for the most part since the reign of errors of Trudeau the 1st. Can we save some money, and just eliminate the positions.
The sad thing is that Coyne and other journalists think they are smart, especially smarter than everyone else, but they’re not and thinking Carney’s cabinet would be different than Trudeau’s proves it.
