  1. Without researchers we would be living in caves, but with really nice curtains.

    1. Without venetian blinds it would be curtains for everyone; junk science is the antithesis of hypothetical inquiry.
      Proper research with efficacy standards and willingness to disprove one’s hypothesis is the bedrock of progress.
      But not the new breed of “experts” with speculative theories revered as “science,” put into action by plutocrats.
      Never let politicians talk about science or scientists talk about politics, most certainly not as any guide to policy.

      1. It amazes me that for the last 35 years just about every ‘study’ or ‘research’ done to come to some type of conclusion isn’t replicable. The only one I’m aware of is a black professor at one the Ivy’s was asked to do a study on policing in the US after Floyd. He got his results, replaced every one on the team and had them do it again. Same results, American police are not racist.

          There are some fields such as dietary science and psychology that have replication problems, but they make up a small portion of what we call science.

    5. Without researchers financed by the American
      and chinese governments harvesting viruses and then modifying them to make them transmittable to humans then deliberately spreading them as round the planet millions of people wouldn’t have been killed and maimed. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think that did anything to advance humanity.

  2. “Gain of Function” … sounds so much more sciency than “Bioweapons”. Doesn’t it?

    One of those terms supposes the “Researchers” are just trying to SAVE LIVES … the other TAKES LIVES. See what happens when Marxists change the language … Yes, Dr. Fauxci is a Marxist multi-millionaire.

    2. Gain-of-Function is a broad term. Bioweapons fall under it, but there are legit scientific purposes for GOF research. That’s why the US got a whole bunch of biosafety experts and microbiologists to develop guidelines for reviewing GOF research. I know someone who was on the panel and I’ve read their report. Top notch stuff.

      Instead, Fauci used Ecohealth as a cutout to fund GOF in China, because he was the Science, above the rules for all of us mortals. The Wuhan Institute for Virology is a sick joke – they have a terrible record, including a case of selling lab animal carcasses for meat. It’s disgusting.

  4. When a buddy of mine passed away unexpectedly at the age of fifty-three last January, the coroner wanted to know how many covid shots he had.

    They ae collecting data. For what I don’t know and under the continuation of a Liberal administration I doubt we’ll find out.

    1. All I know is that I give periodic blood donations to reduce my iron (I have hemochromatosis), and about 18-24 months ago the American Red Cross started asking whether you had been Covid vaccinated in the same section of the check-in where they ask if you have ever used drugs intravenously, tested positive for HIV, or had sex with anyone who had done either.

      They don’t refuse taking your blood if you have been vaccinated (I haven’t anyway) but I am convinced the ARC is managing two separate blood supplies and only certain people are getting access to the unvaccinated blood.

      1. I have an uncle with the same issue. He’s bragged for years about how happy the pretty blood techs are to see him each time. He’s been that kind of guy his whole life which will be 93 years this August.

          1. It’s a disease that causes you to have excess iron in your blood, the only treatment is to drain blood frequently. Your body produces new iron free blood naturally, but the disease will then keep adding more iron. Endless cycle.

      3. The hospital where I donate blood does not ask COVID vaccinations specifically. They ask about vaccinations in the last 6 months and whether you have ever had COVID. Neither of those will get you deferred.

        I have not heard about this from friends who work in donation centers. Not sure if it is a thing or even a ARC-only thing.

  5. Wouldn’t it be great if citizens could access the information you’d think they should be entitled to, prior to being jabbed? or really, even now well after being jabbed, as the data seems to have intentionally “not been collected” in most countries.

  6. Daily Mail is saying the sabotage was result of lover’s spat between the director and a contractor.

    Emotionally disturbed people should not be allowed near dangerous things, was there a way to weed them out before that isn’t being done today? Maybe DEI just overrides everything?

    1. In any high containment lab, there is a personnel reliability program. It’s also referred to as biosurety. The problem is that there are artificial limits on the program thanks to political correctness.

      At Northwestern University, a professor in a high containment lab was convicted of murdering someone in a ritualistic manner. However, as he “played for the other team”, any accusations of impropriety before the murder would have been brushed off as prudish or homophobic.

  7. Fort Detrick has (and has had) a reputation for being slack. Back in 2019, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention filed a “cease and desist” against them because they have half-assed waste water decon apparatus attached to their primary labs. That’s not a place you want to have half-assed anything.

    There are places in the US that I personally will avoid at all costs. Fort Detrick is high on that list, as is the decommissioned, Plum Island.

  8. If you want to do something about this:
    Find your local university, check the Office of Research. Ask to contact their Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and offer to serve as a public member. You don’t need a scientific background (though it helps), you just need to live nearby. You can serve on the committee that approves research and provides oversight. You could help stop another Fauci. These committees need public members to function, and often have trouble recruiting them.
