    The city will waive development costs and property taxes and pass savings onto the customer.

    The city-run stores better not get fire or police protection. Why must private businesses or individuals pay property taxes when the city considers it optional for others?

    1. I would like to comment on various things. I actually knew a female Nazi – she was the wife of one of my father’s good friends, a lovely man. He married her in England when she was pretending to be a displaced person. At best, she was “Not a nice person”, and most of the time, she was a B**ch!
      I had the great privilege to work with Down’s Syndrome people in the summer of 1974 through the Sheltered Workshops program. I learned so much of what they are capable when given half a chance. They were very meticulous in their jobs and had a great love of life. Sadly, some parents did not treat their sons and daughters very well and would just “dump” them into the system and ignore their dental health and not even buy them clothes.
      I left Toronto in March 2002 to move to Calgary and then to Regina. I have previously posted that I am moving to Ottawa to be closer to my daughter. I will visit friends in Toronto, but I will NEVER go back there to live.
