Carolla is wrong. These things are not correctible and getting worse. Anyone interested in reforming California is preoccupied with migrating out of State. The only thing capable of affecting this in any significant way is a significant event on the San Andreas fault. The sort of event which brings huge office towers crashing into the streets.
California cannot be changed politically. It’s been under the iron fist of America’s most radical socialist politicians since 1975. And yes, that includes Arnie.
California is far from being the only state/province where the situation is the same.
We have “bleeding-hearted” out way into a situation from which there is no recovery, short of mass concentration camps, and there are NO politicians around who are about to consider that, until it becomes essential to survival.
Nope, California is far from unique in their social situation, we all suffer the same to some degree in every city up here in the Frozen North.
Maybe our government will strike a commission to study the issue.
