7. Well Carney is an exbanker and business finance guy. He knows the importance of hedging your bets. So he’s running against Alberta just in case campaigning against the USA isn’t enough…”Elbows Up” against Trump and Alberta.

   The Liberal voting base hates Alberta as much as they hate the US. And, There’s no one progressive liberal men hate more than a strong female politician who doesn’t know her place. Trudeau and Carney are cut from the same cloth in so many ways. Sowing division within Canada is a 50 year tradition with the Liberal Party.

   The division I would like to see is two new borders dividing Canada into separate countries. One border on Saskatchewan’s eastern side and another one on Alberta’s western side. Alberta/Sask gets rid of net zero and the remains of Canada get rid of their most carbon intensive provinces : Win-Win.

   It’s a very small hall, of max 300 attendees. In Victoria.
   They haven’t elected a Lib since 2000.
   Far from a Lib stronghold, and only 300? Definitely party members only.
   Sorry, but the whole Lib campaign just appears to be a forced Astroturfing exercise.
   The polls just aren’t believable whatsoever, other than an NDP collapse.

    “If I was von der Leyen, I would form a trade task force to represent the EU and Canada, and have Carney lead it. If the UK, Switzerland and Norway wish to join, then even better.”

11. Carney’s arrogance during the election will be nothing compared to what it will be like if he forms a majority. Even his caucus won’t know what hit them

    1. If he forms a majority, his caucus will line up to sing his praises. Look how they fell in line behind Trudeau, a sick no talent, perverted marxist narcissist. You over estimate the kind of human garbage that runs for the Libranos.

12. If Carney manages to form a government, his ego is going to be so massive he won’t be able to fit through a doorway. He will take exclusive credit for rescuing the Liberals from electoral oblivion, and will make sure that the whole caucus knows it. The debates were instructive as to what can happen to anyone who might potentially challenge his judgement. Just ask Ruby Dhalla and Chandra Arya. There is no one left in caucus who possesses the self-confidence to do anything but go along with Maximum Leader’s commands.

    If we didn’t have a mainstream media overflowing with water carriers, someone might have actually looked into this angle by now.
