Things You’ll Never See On The CBC

Axios; Dems’ dark, deep hole

Top Democrats tell us their party is in its deepest hole in nearly 50 years — and they fear things could actually get worse:

  • The party has its lowest favorability ever.
  • No popular national leader to help improve it.
  • Insufficient numbers to stop most legislation in Congress.
  • A durable minority on the Supreme Court.
  • Dwindling influence over the media ecosystem, with right-leaning podcasters and social media accounts ascendant.
  • Young voters are growing dramatically more conservative.
  • A bad 2026 map for Senate races.
  • Democratic Senate retirements could make it harder for the party to flip the House, with members tempted by statewide races.
  • There are only three House Republicans in districts former Vice President Harris won in 2024, a dim sign for a Democratic surge. There were 23 eight years ago in seats Hillary Clinton won.
  • And, thanks to the number of people fleeing blue states, the math for a Dem to win the presidency will just get harder in 2030.
  • Maybe they didn’t appreciate the regendering.

“[Y]oung people have gone from being the most progressive generation since the Baby Boomers, and maybe even in some ways more so, to becoming potentially the most conservative generation that we’ve experienced maybe in 50 to 60 years.”

    1. Younger generation is the same in Canada, they are disgusted by the inheritance left to them, broke government, broken institutions plus all the taxes the slothful before them didn’t pay. No wonder.

    2. Well… with Harris as your leading contender for 28, I’d say the demon-rat’s troubles are a lot worse than that!

    3. Very hard to win a presidential election in 2030 considering that pres elections are only held in 2028 and 2032…

      1. Slowjoe, your comment lived up to your moniker. Reapportionment is done every 10 years, on the 10’s. In 2030 6 congressional seats move from blue states to red, states award electoral votes based upon the size of the congressional delegation. So in 2030 it will become harder to win the presidential. All are correct and true statements.

    4. The gender issue was a bridge too far IMO. The creep factor of drag queens in libraries pretending to read to your child isn’t just a conservative thing.
Says a lot about a political party to think they could get away with it.
The media is touting AOC as the next President of the United States in 2028 which tells me Dems haven’t learned a damn thing from the last thrashing they received.

        1. Not likely. They had a chance to put him in as VP but passed on that because the party base hates Jews.

            1. No, he was in the running but was discarded for Walz. His trial balloons did very poorly with the party base which is why he was passed over. PA was a state Harris had to win and selecting Shaprio may have changed that.

      1. He’s just been appointed to chair the RNC finance committee – he’ll be in charge of fund raising and where it gets spent. He will be the nominee.

    5. Don’t worry, they will be back shortly after Carney is elected . Same time frame for tarrif resolution .
We are seeing a program of fear, emotion and of course an enemy , in action. Looks like it’s working. At least well enough to make a Liberal win believable.

    6. They’re not a political party, they’re a cult. Taking the 20 side of every 80/20 issue has worked out really well for them and they show no signs of letting up, which is why they’re swirling the drain.

The loss of dirty gov’t money has put them in a bind, they can’t even afford rent-a-mobs any more and are reduced to busing in unstables for their rallies. Because of this they can’t tone down their rhetoric and cannot appear sane to normal people.

I’d wager that about 4-6 months prior to the midterms the doj is going to charge a number of people with stealing public money and most of them will have close ties to the democrat party. republicans caught up in this may be given the option to slink off quietly into the sunset (retire). If they play this card correctly then the midterms will be absolute debacle for the donkeys.

        1. There is a difference between Unstables, with which they filled the venue with and rent-a-mobs. Rent-a-mobs follow the money where the Unstables are like groupies being given free concert tickets and a free ride to the show.

        2. Ok so in summary, this random self-proclaimed director of an unknown investing firm that buys failing doctor’s offices claims to be able to individually track every single participant of this rally in detail. He throws out random unverified numbers based on this, claiming 84% of the participants are paid Hamas supporters, offers no further explanation, and you’re just perfectly OK and on board with all aspects of this?

    7. The is the legacy of the squad and other extremist factions, who dragged the party leftward from it’s traditional centre-left position until it became toxic to many independent voters.

The open-borders movement in particular was a gift to the Republicans.

      1. The center has been creeping left since the 60’s. In the beginning the hearts sympathies, which every human should have, were the issues, for example.e access to health care.

Now, the center is firmly in Marxist territory

    8. The biggest problem for dems is their TDS. It makes it impossible for them to take any sensible position on any topic. All they do is oppose whatever Trump does. Trannies in your daughters change rooms, releasing child rapist illegals with no bail, supporting criminal illegal gangs etc

    9. It’s an alarming sign for the Democrats that Sanders and AOC can draw a crowd. It shows that the loony left is still very powerful. That’s not where the country is.

The family spat within the Democratic party is nowhere near to being over. This should serve the Republicans well for the mid-terms. As long as the only policy the Democrats have is to oppose Trump and the sane Democrats have no leader the President will just keep goading them into being on the wrong end of every 80 – 20 issue. He’s REALLY good at that!

    10. Being stupid has its own set of consequences. The Democrats have been painting themselves into this corner for the past fair few decades.
It wasn’t just the Democrats either. The Republicans also have their fair share; theirs was just not of the same nature, nor as entrenched, and thus more easily amended.
Greed is its own form of stupidity. So is arrogance. Oh well.

    11. The Mindless Mushy Middle that determines election outcomes appears to the unenlightened as fickle and the demented husk of the Evil Party will rise from the ashes and recapture the MMM and it could start to appear by the midterms. A recession will assist with their emotion-base whim shift. the Dems are the party of the filthy rich Oligarchs, the institutional left, and paid indigent activists. Their Oligarchs will pivot and install leadership more appealing to the MMM.

    12. Americans are a generous, tolerant people. No … we really don’t care what you do in the privacy of your own bedroom. None of us care. You do you. Go to a furry convention. Be a Trekkie. Meh. But put the LGBTQueers in charge of our government … stealing taxpayer money to shove their perversions down our throats and CANCEL us if we disagree, or simply mock you (another immutable characteristic of the American people).

Flood our nation with illegals who will work cheaper than anyone. Defund the police so smash and grabs and all manner of theft spiral out of control. Load up our lives with more unnecessary bureaucracy that makes nearly everything unaffordable. Watch as the homeless pitch tents under every overpass and in your children’s playgrounds and parks. Demand college for everyone, but saddle young people with life-crushing debt for a useless degree in “_ _ _ _ – Studies”. Create a re-education camp for our children aka public schools … teach them Queerness and sexual confusion … but allow them to FAIL in reading and math.

Yeah … the American people have had enough. Of the Democrat whack jobs.

    13. A very similar trends is observable in Canada where support for conservatives among young people is much higher than among older groups.

    14. The Democrat’s biggest problem is that their financial kickback fraud machine is being dismantled and made public. The Beast is going to starve.

      1. That, and voter rolls are going to be updated. No more votes from people born in the 19th century.

    15. Every eight years or so in the USA, we hear about how one party or the other has locked up elections for the next scadie-eight years or so because they’re hugely popular today.

And then they lose the next election.

“Don’t get cocky” is the key phrase, I think.

    16. Damn you Killer Marmot!! The Dow is UP 500 points today. You bastard! I told you I wanted the Dow to DIP so I could BUY BUY BUY the dip … now you’ve screwed up my plans by being so SURE that Trump is destroying the economy and ruining everyone’s 401k.

You’re the “opposite” weathervane, dammmit! Whatever you say or believe … the OPPOSITE happens. So please bend over and PRAISE Trump and the BOOMING stock market! Then … I may get a dip to BUY BUY BUY into !!

    17. Liberals.. A buffet of bad ideas.. Trudeaus finisher needs to be sent back into the bullpen.. I hear the CBC did a show of hands and predicts a majority for Carnage.. That’s some give me the money, wishful thinking..
