    1. Not even Wikipedia can make this FAKE “green” monstrosity of a building sound pleasant. The interior environment is uninhabitable as the building has NO HVAC system, and the elevators only stop on every third floor FORCING employees to walk-up another 1-2 flights of stairs to their office. And all it got was a ‘silver’ LEED certification … which you can get for just filling out the application and paying the fee. Utter stupidity.

This is what passes as … “progressive” … architecture. Ugly, unworkable, reviled stupidity. A perfect edifice for the Nancy Pelosi label.

        1. They have an “alternate” elevator that stops at every floor. How this meets the “equal access” standards is beyond me. What if the “differently abled” patron got on the wrong elevator and ended up riding elevators up and down? Not “equivalent access”

  1. The news story reports that Asians make up 34% of the SF voters. That’s MORE than enough of a voting bloc to carry any election in the US. So, yeah … if the Tiger moms have finally woken-up and stopped reflexively voting for Democrats … this could be a sea change for San Franfreako.

And I believe the Chinese families are a little shell-shocked by the white-flight and Asian-flight OUT of SanFranshithole. SF schools have seen a devastating disappearance of students and is facing a $113M budget deficit. What is that? A deficit the size of the entire Canadian GDP? (Sorry).

Asian families are now grappling with sending their children to school with the leftovers … the DEI leftovers in SF schools. The Chinese VALUE education … and all the formerly SUPERB public schools such as Lowell HS have become shells of their former selves. Now these schools are filled with illegal heespanick immigrants. All those white kids from disciplined “white” homes have fled to suburbia. And let’s not forget what the children get to experience on their way to school … A picture is worth 1,000 words according to an old Chinese(?) proverb?

Yeah … that might make you swallow the RED pill …

  2. I’ve never been to SanFran but the Chinatown district looks fine to me, in the video, I didn’t see any of the usual signs of what has become SanFran life, and those folks walking around shopping or pretending to shop, weren’t studying the SanFran poop app on their phones. I get that it’s about 6 million in the area, and there are vast areas of small cities I have no interest in seeing…

Always a good sign to not have a red circle poop alert superimposed on your area…

  3. I was in San Francisco in the mid 1980’s and swore never to go back. Made the mistake of staying downtown. Did the streetcar ride down to Fisherman’s Wharf, and came back around 8PM. What a difference a few hours made. Beggars asking for “spare change” homeless people sleeping in doorways clutching garbage bags stuffed with their belongings, stepping over streams of urine. It was hospital-pristine clean compared to today’s disaster.

    1. Scariest yet in the early 80s was walking early in the morning to the Convention Centre to setup our exhibit and seeing the street people lining up at the blood donor clinic. My workmate commented that this was the last town she would want to get transfusion in.

This was just after Prop 13 emptied out the psych hospitals for “compassionate “ reasons for the human dignity of the former residents

  4. Flown out of the airport twice (does this count as a “visit”)?
Might be a safer place if Dirty Harry was still on the force!
