1. This is brilliant. That the Prime Minister who hates the majority of Canadians, and who has actively demonstrated that for a decade is now rallying the nation to oppose some great imaginary threat is hilarious.

6. I’m beginning to think that Harper is bought and paid for. Same with Carney’. Why he is romping to the PM’s office is a puzzle. Not having experience with being an MP is actually a drawback. It’s useful to have direct experience in Parliament, running a constituency office and running an election campaign. He’s a newbie in all this and as such will be beholden to advisors to tell him what to think. If I were a Liberal I’d be concerned.

8. The propaganda is pretty thick out there. I’m Canadian, but U.S. born and a Trump supporter, and it’s depressing. Trump is protesting against our lax drug enforcement, our decrepit military and our open-immigration policy. Note that in our country there are no grassroots lobbies lobbying against narcotics use, supporting our military or opposing mass immigration. Trudeau knows this, so he continues to harm our country by pushing all three anti-Canadian policies.

   And the one-sided propagandists at the CBC, CTV, the Star and the Globe and Mail? They never report or discuss the fentanyl crisis, our collapsing military or our open borders. They team up and regurgitate Liberal lies. It’s sad.

      That is true, but there is a multiplying effect beyond just that. All the local radio stations (atleast in Saskatchewan) simply cut an’ paste the same stories, with the same political view. They have no opinion of their own, because most News rooms are filled with millennials, who lick up propaganda like it was ice cream.

         The media there is just about as bad as it is back east.
         Even in the rurals!

         I wouldn’t be surprised if the same situation exists here in AB, but I haven’t listened to the radio much since moving here.

10. I am less concerned than I was. Nobody under 40 consumes legacy media, at all, and they are the voting cohort most screwed by the last 10 years, and are angry. I have two daughters in that group. One voted liberal last time, no chance with either of them this time. Quick question, since one is already in US, what is the procedure for voting from outside Canada, if anyone knows?

    The other reason is that if the Liberals are elected again, this place crumbles, maybe something good can come from the rubble?

16. Been watching man on the street interviews from Toronto and Quebec. (And from around canuckistan, including Alberta). Yikes. It is almost impossible for me to believe what they’re saying. Completely oblivious to anything the CBC et al doesn’t tell them.

    I remember reading 1984 in high school thinking how far fetched it was. Well, here we are. Lots of good books on propaganda and how it works. Maybe time to start teaching this in school. Danielle Smith; this would be an easy thing to inject into Alberta curriculum. Evils of propaganda, programming, communism etc. Best time to start is now.

    And I’ll just leave with my constant reminder that Alberta better exit sooner than later.
