    1. I have a man crush on Walter. Yes, I’m gonna stalk him in his small MT town … hang out at the local greasy spoon till he rolls in for breakfast.

  1. The part the media hasn’t caught up with yet is that in order to implement the plan that got the 30 day extension, parliament has to be recalled before March 3.
But they don’t anoint Carney until March 9 and the plan was to not recall parliament until March 24.

At the very least the Liberals are having to deal with a compressed timeline that just got compressed some more.

And that is the least of their problems.

      a) I want Parliament to be recalled.

      b) I suspect that to implement the “plan” all that’s required is to redeploy existing paid for assets (RCMP, Canada Customs, Military personnel). This would not require parliament to be recalled.

      c) Canadian fiscal year 2024 ends March 31. Parliament must okay funding for fiscal 2025, before that date, unless an election is called. In that case special warrants may be used for government spending until 60 days after the election.

If I’ve missed something in the above, or there’s spending in the “plan” that requires an act of parliament, please let me know.
