I believe the US buys Canadian oil at a discount. Around 10 to 20 dollars a barrel. That’s quite a savings.

Puerto Ricans that move to live on the mainland USA get to vote. Territorial status for Kanusckistan would be the same.
But you’re correct on your last point.
If the US annexed Canada a whole bunch of Quebecois would be able to move to Florida, which would go Democrat.
