1. What we’re witnessing is the final death throes of the British Empire. Every Commonwealth nation is experiencing the same problems to various degrees. All political parties are seemingly indistinguishable from each other, the bureaucracy has grown to uncontrollable and unaffordable size, once stable and respected institutions have devolved into madness, the cost of living is unbearable, and no one but the ordinary citizen ever seems to be held accountable for their actions.

   If I had the means to leave Canada for freer pastures, I would have been gone already.
