The Tenarife incident is the reason US airlines are not allowed to take off unless the pilot can see the end of the runway. An example of that: Flying on Delta from Calgary to Minneapolis one time it was foggy. We sat at the end. A WestJet and an Air Canada went by and took off. The pilot announced that Canadian airliners were allowed (in Canada) to take off even though they couldn’t see the end of the runway.

The “good guys” are those that promote peace and freedom in the world for themselves and the people around them.
The “bad guys” are those that promote war and repression around the world including with their own citizens.
It takes a keen eye to not buy into propaganda that promotes ones own perceived team as “good guys” while abusing not only the rights of others but their own citizens. More people should take a step back and realize they are not on the same team they tell you.
Otherwise both sides end up repeatedly scoring goals on their own nets. The owners win regardless.
