Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

What They Say About SDA
"Smalldeadanimals doesn't speak for the people of Saskatchewan" - Former Sask Premier Lorne Calvert
"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
I used public transit regularly from childhood to about 2014, in Hamilton, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
Never had a problem.
But then, I’m not a limp-wristed, yellow-bellied, panty-waisted pussywillow buttercup.
Wow….until 2014.
Like it was yesterday,eh??
Well, until MEN in this crap-hole grow some balls, it will get worse every day.
I guess, ice ring is the only place they still stand up for each other.
2 to 5 mins max penalty they can take. Of course with the refere…
Meek nation has no place in this mean world to survive.
The recent anniversary of the Montreal massacre, was really a demonstration of the feminization of our men, not a gun crime. Those men walked out and let Lepine shoot the women. Tragedy of cowardice.
Police target men and anyone trying to do the morally right thing. Lots of evidence of that across the western world. Besides, Toronto, like Camelot, is a silly place.
The police are your enemy, self defense is verboten. That said, if a cop tried to arrest me for defending myself he would indeed have a crime on his hands.
I used buses regularly in Edmonton, through the downtown, day and night, from 1970 to about 1975, and I never saw one case of violence or anyone even raising their voice. They were still locking people in nuthouses at the time. There were a few odd people but nobody violent. The old Jehovah’s Witness guy by the Bay used to chant, “Let me give you a testament of what Jesus did for me.” The drum beating Krishna people used to do a dance by the Bay. Where the hell did they go? There was a young guy begging on 101st St. that was or pretended to be deaf. Everyone else was painfully normal. Thank heaven for the loony bin.
Canada still had some wealth then. Our politicians still hadn’t bankrupted the country spoiling the citiizenry. Our politicians knew better than us about what society needed and taxds us to ‘help the less fortunate’. Now, so many Canadians have
too little wiggle room left, and many afre starting to lose it, mentally and economically.
The gentleman was Brother Andrew and was not a Jehovah’’s Witness. He was a born again Christian and was well respected in the Christian community. Standing on the street corner bearing witness of Christ was his mission in life, which he took very seriously.
Nothing can be done.
Normals must be kept in a state of fear.
Politicians can leverage fear to gain a lot of power.
Post National State
Based on the provided search results, a post-national state is a theoretical construct that describes a nation-state that has transcended traditional notions of national identity, culture, and sovereignty. This concept is often associated with the ideas of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who claimed in 2015 that Canada is the world’s first post-national state.
Key Characteristics:
Lack of Core Identity: A post-national state is said to lack a dominant cultural or national identity, instead embracing diversity and multiculturalism.
Shared Values: Instead of a core identity, post-national states focus on shared values such as openness, respect, compassion, and a commitment to equality and justice.
Inclusive Citizenship: Post-national states prioritize inclusive citizenship, recognizing the rights and contributions of all individuals, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or nationality.
Globalization and Supranationalism: Post-national states are characterized by increased globalization, internationalization, and the rise of supranational entities, which erode traditional national boundaries and identities.
Erosion of National Sovereignty: Post-national states may surrender some aspects of national sovereignty to international organizations, treaties, and agreements, prioritizing global cooperation and human rights over national interests.
Criticisms and Debates:
Loss of National Character: Critics argue that post-national states risk losing their unique national character, traditions, and histories.
Erasure of Indigenous Rights: The concept of a post-national state has been criticized for ignoring or erasing the rights and experiences of Indigenous peoples, who have been marginalized and excluded from national narratives.
Homogenization of Culture: Some argue that post-national states may lead to the homogenization of cultures, as national identities and traditions are subsumed by globalized values and norms.
Unclear Boundaries: The concept of a post-national state raises questions about the boundaries between national and international law, as well as the role of citizenship and nationality in a globalized world.
Examples and Contexts:
Canada: Prime Minister Trudeau’s 2015 statement about Canada being the world’s first post-national state sparked debate and criticism.
European Integration: The European Union’s efforts to create a supranational entity, with shared values and institutions, can be seen as an example of post-nationalism in action.
Global Migration: The increasing mobility of people across borders and the rise of transnational communities have contributed to the erosion of traditional national identities and the emergence of post-national states.
Conclusion:
The concept of a post-national state remains a topic of debate and discussion, with proponents arguing that it promotes inclusivity, diversity, and global cooperation, while critics contend that it undermines national sovereignty, cultural identity, and Indigenous rights. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, the notion of a post-national state will continue to evolve and be reevaluated in light of shifting global dynamics and societal values.
What, no one noticed back in 2015 ?
He wasn’t even hiding it.
Its not a surface wound ………
COVID … and the hysterical FEAR that standing next to other humans will KILL YOU … has cratered BART ridership. No one has gone back to BART who hasn’t been FORCED to. But no worry! BART has “hardened” its fare gates. Well, Nevermind … the destitute homeless mental patients can still just ram the gates with their shoulders and get thru for free. Free to harass and threaten passengers.
https://oaklandside.org/2024/01/26/barts-new-hardened-fare-gates-get-mixed-reactions-from-west-oakland-riders/
As the sign says … Fare gates for the “next generation”. My answer? Yeah … NOT my people. NOT my generation. Not my people’s break from reality. I don’t ride with THIS generation.
PS … the West Oakland station is the ghetto. Deep, dangerous … ghetto. The trains shouldn’t even stop in the ghetto.
A man merely threatening harm is an improvement for the TTC.
After all there have been many random attacks on the TTC over the last few years, like Edith Frayne pushing a random woman onto the tracks, or the random stabbing at St George station, or the woman set on fire at Kipling station, or the stabbing at High Park station that resulted in one fatality and one severe wounding.
I live downtown and drive everywhere but driving anywhere now in Toronto is unbelievable.
Roads closed everywhere and lane reduction is just insane.
Ever wondered why third world shitholes are reduced to third world swarms of scooters and no cars?
Watch it happen live in Toronto’s core.
Spadina and Queen closed for a week with no police directing alternative routes. Just sitting in their cruisers blocking traffic. People have progressed to driving in to oncoming traffic and on to the sidewalks.
Snow covered roads this AM so it’ll be even worse.
Riding a scooter would be tough today, but I’m sure there are a lot of guys doing it. Couple inches of snow right now…
Friday the 13th in Port Dover last week was not that well attended, for an event that draws 100,000++ in the summer. Maybe 50 bikes all told, even though it was a beautiful day at -4C. That’s why I went. All the poseurs and rich lawyers stayed home. ~:D
Really? Wow I can remember a number of years ago watching bike after bike going by on the South side of London and the snowflakes where the size of toonies , around this time of year.
Probably 50 bikes an hour.
Interesting.
