    Slightly related to this, during the summer at a forest workers (Steel workers as the IWA went bankrupt years ago) union office window on the North Island, there was a sign stating that this government (Eby’s NDP) has to go as it was killing their jobs. In the recent provincial election, the Conservatives took that riding from the NDP. Thanks to green theocracy replacing the suicidal NDP alliance with blue collar labour, Conservatives now are their best hope.

    1. The IWA had a problem. Most of the old pulp mills in Canada went bankrupt. While people kept wiping their butts they quit reading. Most, if not all, the mills in Alberta are not unionized. There was one small saw mill that was unionized and it shut down. Many years later someone reopened it and the union came back and it shut down for the last time. It simply wasn’t too mechanized and efficient enough to support a union.

          For example, check out Harrison Faulkner’s recent Ratioed pod cast on uniparty shite. He has some stuff there that PP said, which is troubling and revealing.
