         A democracy cannot maintain a government better than the aggregrate of the electorate. People unwilling and/or unable to manage their own lives will get other people no more able to do it for them.

4. Very depressing, but perfectly normal for this government and the current, establishment driven, zeitgest.
   We urgently need to take education away from governments.

   How about sending annual school-cheques to each child from 4-17 (i.e. k-1, k-2, and grades 1-12) for the parents to spend as they like (as long as it is on education), be it home schooling, private schools, or even public schools. The cheque amount could correspond to let’s say 90% of what it each pupil/student receives on average today in taxpayer funding.

   Something for PP to campaign on.
