    Luxury beliefs are defined as those beliefs created by the elite upper classes, whereby one has to accept those beliefs to belong to the elite class. But the cost of luxury beliefs are largely borne by low-income and working classes. Example: the Liberal law mandating catch-and-release practes for violent minority criminals is supported by our legal elite, but the costs are borne by Canada’s low-income, working people.

  13. I have always contended that the attacks On Sir John A are about destroying an important national symbol — not about residential schools. It would not have been acceptable to ignore education for native children, and McDonald was not responsible for the abuse.       Worthy of note – every Canadian Prime Minister from Sir John A to Pierre Trudeau presided over residential schools.
      Why is Sir John taking the brunt of the blowback? He was white, conservative, and he represents our country as no other PM does. All things the left wants to desecrate. Still – why are no statues of Mackenzie King or Pierre T being torn down?
      Someone posted here ages ago from a news article in the Regina Leader Post. Upon the closing of the last residential school (Kamsack, SK) the local band council decried the decision, saying that their children would receive a better education at that residential school than they would receive in town.
      Of course, that was before the Current Narrative took over.
      So if we keep them open, we are wrong, and if we close them, we are wrong. Just trying to clarify.
