  1. How much government subsidy? $100 billion if not more? I think everyone is figuring out that China is going to build all the components of electric cars.

  2. It’s an article of communist doctrine that “the capitalists will sell us the rope with which we shall hang them.”

    The whole apparatus of the green lie, from “anthropogenic climate change” (for which there is no empirical evidence) to “green power” (which is wholly reliant on components and raw materials, such as rare earth elements, in which China is globally dominant) is the rope.

    And useful idiot western politicians who are delighted to serve as the catamites of the CPC are the salesmen.

  4. Trudeau is an investment genius. With everyone else quitting electric, his battery investments will go supernova!

  5. EVs are sitting on lots, unleased, for many good reasons (many people do not actually own a car). Have we not learned yet that charging batteries is a PITA (“My cell is about to run out of juice” = “sorry, I forgot to plug in my EV”)? Who wants to spend time lining up at charging stations?

    Not only are the cars expensive, using rare minerals, but the infrastructure is too expensive in a large country like ours. Re-sales are not profitable. Insurance rates will go up, including homes having an EV nearby. People in stratas will soon create bylaws to disallow EV parking or line-ups.

    Keep them in China.

  6. A local car dealer has had one of those two seater EVs for the past five months, not a buyer in sight.

    How about just let the free market decide when we switch to EVs and stop trying to ram them down our throats?

    How are they going to do that if everyone stops making them?

        Eventually there will be so many unwanted EVs on dealer lots that the Biden administration will award one to each new illegal alien that crosses the southern border.

  9. Hence the adoption of mandates by freakshow governments like Newsom’s California or the mental defectives here in Canada.
    Don’t have an EV, then you don’t drive.
    Some in California want to establish state-owned oil refineries.
    Imagine the forthcoming madness.
