1. Ummm, blackouts and power rationing are the raison détre of leftie energy policies.
   The left hates you: wants you cold, miserable, hungry but preferably it wants you dead.

   It certainly doesn’t want you living in a single family, 2 car homes, 3 kids, comfortable lifestyle and independent mindset.

   It does not want you flying for vacation or work. Doesn’t want you eating meat, having more than 2 sets of generic grey clothes. Road trips are out. So is private schooling.

   But ideally you are dead, and if not dead then serving them and envying them, like peasants of old.

   1. Agreed. The purpose of socialism is to ensure that no one is happy anywhere, anytime. It’s desired endstate is misery.

      1. California is still winning this nincompoop war. Not only do they have incessant brown outs (and black outs)….they have issued a law that disallows the purchase and selling of gas powered generators. If you already have one, you can continue to use it (for now). But, good luck trying to buy a replacement.

         I have a prediction. It won’t be long before California sets up customs agents on all major throughways entering the state. It’s the old fireworks deal. If you live in Massachusetts, you drive up to New Hampshire to get your fireworks. If you live in California, you drive to any neighboring state to get your necessities. Those soon to be customs agents will be searching you car for gas powered generators, plastic straws/bags, and stow away white males.

         1. Orson, what that suggests is that the depopulation of California will continue and accelerate. Confronted by insane governments, people leave if they can. I presume the possbility of Gravin Newsom being booted out of office by the voters is zero?

            1. Newsom is there for the duration. His goal is to acquire the highest office in the land so he can institute these edicts via fiat on the entire country. I suspect that in a little over 4 years, he will get that opportunity.

   the FACT these leftoids get the votes is all the reason l need to shrug at their misery, their nation’s misery, their relations with other nation in jeopardy, the entire world’s misery etc up the wazoo.

5. This is not hard: nuclear or hydroelectric for the electrical grid, natural gas for heating, gasoline and diesel for transport. Solar may have niche applications, wind — worse than useless other than hobby sailing.

   1. They could probably also use geothermal, instead they went all in on the intermittent sources of wind and solar.
