    4. I have always maintained that I hope you have a wonderful sex life, I do NOT need to know about it – that includes straights as well. I do not need to see tongues down each other’s throats while walking around in public. I have gay friends in Toronto who purposefully leave Toronto during Pride week just to avoid all the nonsense. My “brother from another mother” was well known for his Pride Sunday cocktail parties which he did for over 20 years. He stopped doing that about 10-12 years ago and now leaves town.

    1. I loved Grand Funk Railroad. Mark Farner had an amazing voice on We’re am American Band and Shinin on. His rendition of Locomotion is my favorite. I think Todd Rundgren was key to their full rich studio sound.
      I only recall Reaper from Blue Oyster Cult but was a fan.

    2. The legendary Nash the Slash, who you’ll recall was a local Toronto boy doing a one-show, used to close sets with “We’re An American Band”. He was always spectacularly good.

    So anyone wanting to watch the games must have a subscription to sportsnet. Instead the Ceeb will be broadcasting a Canadian awards show and the Canadian Ultimate Challenge.

    There are three reasons for the CBC decision: (1) the Oilers are based in western Canada, (2) NHL is played by men of the wrong skin colour, and (3) full-contact hockey is not nicey-nicey.

    1. Just outrageous. I am not even a hockey fan, but am taking an interest in this series. My number one priority for Poliviere is to get rid of the CBC. Do it early and do it fast. Very few Canadians continue to support the CBC and likely most who do vote Liberal anyway.

      1. Linda, I’d love to believe Poilievre will “get rid of the CBC”, but I don’t. The very most you’ll see are some cuts, mostly symbolic.
