  1. Julius Henry (Groucho) Marx had some observations:

“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.”

“This isn’t a particularly novel observation, but the world is full of people who think they can manipulate the lives of others merely by getting a law passed.”

      1. Calling him an artist is an insult to talented artists.

He should be regarded as a performance artist: mediocre, performative, pointless and a waste.

    1. Government by “liberals” in a nutshell. If there’s a problem, they can make it worse. Of course, they probably created it in the first place. California’s homeless situation is a great case in point. They just spent 30 billion dollars on it and it increased by almost 20%.

  2. I’d say that Calvin & Hobbes pretty well reflected my experience of living with my husband and raising two boys. I frequently percieved that I was living with three Calvins.

    1. One post is not a lot to go on but I’ll perceive that you are something like Calvin’s mother and therefore your husband and sons were fortunate in having you.

  3. There’s a lot of very unhappy people today. It would be a better world if they’d just shut the fück up.

    1. There’s nothing, (other than a round of applause), that I can add to that observation.

    2. They aren’t happy until everyone is unhappy but being unfulfilled they go out for more ways to sow unhappiness. It’s a drug for them

  4. Social justice warrior: a person who lies awake at night worried that someone, somewhere might be happy.

  5. Lukas Shayo has no imagination, and likely had an overbearing mother as well as siblings, and was likely never too far from his electronic geegaws

  6. The best were “Calvin and Hobbes” and “Bloom County”.

Growing up I was Calvin, at my age now, I’m happy to just be Ralph Wiggum……

  7. Now, let’s take a closer look at “Fat Albert”. Fat shaming, stereotypical behavior, extreme melanin representation…oh yeah…championed (and sometimes voiced) by a rapist. Stereotypical dress, stereotypical locations, stereotypical plots. Just to start.

Then there is the malicious “Nancy” comic strip where she proudly applies cultural appropriation by sporting an afro. And, don’t get started on Mark Trail who had the audacity to “own” a St. Bernard. Owning other animals aside, not once will you see the required Government license and tag on that behemoth’s collar. Trail is obviously breaking the law.

  8. “There is never enough time to do all the nothing you want” is my all time favorite from that cartoon.
