1. This tells me that everyone should have the right to carry and anyone stupid enough to assault anyone deserves what they get.

2. John Stossel does good interviews, and is dialing in to long form interviews ala Rogan, Freidman, et al.
   People will make time to listen to informed opinions.
   What Charles misses about Trump is that he is the agent of change for those unhappy with the trend towards big government, and that MAGA is more libertarian than he understands, him having developed a considered political worldview late in life.

   1. I would say that the political divide in the US and the west is mostly in the proponents of, versus the opposition to, cultural Marxism (DEI,CRT, ESG, climate hysteria, the cult of the delusions of 51 genders, etc). Trump is a protectionist not a free trader, and offers little in the way of fiscal sanity for the bankrupt US other than returning the Southern border to the rule of law and restoring more sane energy policies. He’s no libertarian but he’s not part of the insane left and much less likely to sleepwalk into a hot WW3 (It’s already underway economically, in cyber form, and biological).

3. God bless my McMaster U poli sci prof enlightened me to the downside of foreign aid in that when the trucks full of grain/whatever pulls up handing out FREE STUFF it instantly demolishes the viability and profitability of LOCAL PRODUCERS which is the first and only necessary step to PERMANENT DEPENDENCE.
   that was 1995. 30 years ago, some things one never forgets.
   in around 2005 or so l began to inquire the local lieberal mp, what was being done as far as audits, followup, inspections etc to gauge the effectiveness of said aid, specifically Ahfricah.

   2 years later they still hadnt responded, and when l went to the constituency office in person they denied l even asked the question and when l pressed, the byatch office mgr threatened to have me busted for trespassing.

   it took a newspaper editorial to get the answer, which was, a big fat NOTHING resulting in, you guessed it, vast sums, 100s millions, WASTED.
