Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

How can this guy get away with this? And, what makes him think that it’s the proper course? You might ask.
Well, how about the fact that the US is supporting his Globalist onslaught and the persecution of his political enemies and opposition. The US is actually exporting political persecution to Poland.

The Biden Administration went to far as to publicize a meeting between the Tusk Administration and the US Ambassador, where the Ambassador gave Tusk (through Adam Bodnar, Justice Minister for Poland) the green light to proceed with a sound bite. (“US Ambassador positively assesses the restoration of the rule of law in Poland”)
Sound familiar? It’s what Biden is doing right here at home. Breaking the law and proclaiming it a restoration of the rule of law.
So, the question is, who voted for that character?
He obviously did not get into the position on his own.
Somebody somewhere is lying one way or another and somebody is sponsoring it.
Suppose there are some rich oligarchs in Russia that would not mind to destabilize Poland or some rich socialist oligarchs in the US. It’s interesting to note that both would like Poland to be destabilized, Ruskis for their reasons and the globalist Americans, you may guess who they are, for their reasons.
Independence of the nation state cannot be tolerated.
Won’t be allowed by the socialist/fascist aristocrats of the WEF.
Methinks though, that they picked on wrong nation, Poles are nobody’s pussies, they are some of the Europe’s fiercest nation. If you worked alongside one, you would know.
Remember when they started the collapse of communism?
“He obviously did not get into the position on his own.”
Welcome to the joys of proportional representation and a dysfunctional administrative system with a premier and a president. The previously ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party had most votes and have the largest number of representatives. The ruling coalition includes almost everyone else else (apart for fringe libertarians and monarchists). It is “anyone but PiS” coalition. It is a schizophrenic amalgam of fourteen parties ranging from Conservatives who don’t like PiS to socialists, greens, farmers and kleptocratic EUnuchs etc. This coalition will fall apart sooner or later. The problem is that Tusk – leader of PO Civic Platform (PO). is a highly cynical, skilled manipulator, demagogue with no ideology. He is a former EU Council president (one of the three presidents EU has don’t confuse him with the others) and has EU ambitions with no concern for Poland.
Poland’s situation is precarious. PiS is pro Poland, but they’re cumbersome romantics who routinely loose the propaganda war and have been effectively portrayed as backward reactionaries just not fit to run a modern country (despite being very successful at it). They are hated by EU elites and it is hardly a secret that Tusk is the favorite of German Empire otherwise known as EU as he fully intends to sabotage Polish growth and independence.
And before anyone flaps their gums about Ukraine, apart for the libertarian/monarchist fringe, support for Ukraine is not a matter of debate. Disagreements are minor and center around protecting Polish industry and agriculture. Here too EU/German forces do their best to sabotage Poland and PO enables.
Regarding the arrests:
Police enter Polish presidential palace to detain convicted former ministers holed up inside
[…]
A dramatic standoff came to an end this evening after police officers entered the presidential palace and detained two politicians who served in the former Law and Justice (PiS) government. They had holed up there for hours following a court order to begin two-year prison sentences for abuse of power.
Today’s unprecedented events began when police this morning confirmed that they had received instructions from a court in Warsaw to detain Kamiński and Wąsik, who were last month handed binding convictions for abusing their powers during a corruption investigation.
In 2015, after Kamiński and Wąsik had received an initial conviction in the abuse-of-power case but while they were still appealing against it, President Andrzej Duda, a PiS ally, issued them with presidential pardons.
Last year, a chamber of the Supreme Court found those pardons to be invalid because an act of pardon before the final verdict violates the principles of the separation of powers and is an unjustified encroachment of the president into the remit of the judiciary. That paved the way for them to receive the final conviction in December. [Trump, anyone?]

Regarding the media changes:
https://notesfrompoland.com/2023/12/26/three-legal-views-on-the-polish-governments-public-media-takeover/
So technically they haven’t seen a final conviction (so the pardon is invalid) but they still get re-arrested for charges dating back to 2015. Were they supposed to remain in jail without a final conviction? You’re either convicted and in jail and therefore the pardon works, or you’re appealing the original conviction and not in jail pending the final verdict. But to be convicted and in jail with an invalid pardon seems political and dangerous.
