Y2Kyoto: Disappointment Abounds

As this year draws to a close…

…it is worth noting that over the last 12 months — and contrary to predictions and headlines, including claims about “the warmest year ever” — polar bears have not been reported dying, starving, or eating each other in large numbers, or relentlessly attacking people. On top of that, summer sea ice coverage in the Arctic has stalled for the last 17 years, not melted out in a death spiral of rotten ice.

But take heart! All is not lost!

  1. Another failed prediction in the making. Now they’re trying to scare us with no more bubbly.

    When will they ever learn!

    1. Well do you believe EcoAI … or your own eyes? I’m going with my own eyes as they have spied my own State of CA nearly completely COVERED in grapes. Every region. Every kind of microclimate and topography. Grapes, grapes, grapes. Mankind best be able to survive on grapes alone … cause all our arable land is covered in grapes. I don’t detect a single grape grower being the least bit concerned about the natural, normal, seasonal variations that differentiate between a decent vintage and a GREAT vintage.

And now … after returning from my Holiday trip to the Okanagan … I’ve discovered that FROZEN Canada is now covered in grapes, grapes, grapes … and winery, winery, winery! Who knew? The Okanagan is the “new Alsace” wine region of the world! Who knew?

Nevermind what my eyes teach me … cause ALL those grapes (and wines) are DOOMED!!! Doomed “they” tell us!! Because you haven’t yet “gone electric” or paid enough $$$ in carbon taxes. AI Puhleeze!!??

The amount of $$$$$ invested in these vineyards and wineries is the same empirical evidence that contradicts the doom and gloom of Global Warming sea level change as the wealthiest, greenest, oligarchs buy up beachfront properties for RECORD $$$$. Economics don’t LIE … Eco-frauds DO.

  2. Tax and spend based on some unmeasurable concept.. Just to be on the safe side you need to hand over all your wealth .. What type of pandemic needs testing for you to notice it’s happening?..

We don’t deal with problems anymore, we deal with cures.. What’s it called when the parent HURTS their own child to get noticed??..

Munchausen syndrome by proxy, now formally known as factitious disorder… Its gone prime time $$$..

  3. Oh thank goodness, I thought it was going to be the CO2 they were going to gripe about!
That would mean no more soft drinks, beer, champagne, etc..
I always laugh when I see a climate alarmist ad on tv, immediately followed by a Soda Stream commercial!

  4. The greatest fear hoax/junk science for profit ever perpetrated on mankind on an almost planetary scale.

I still pray for the day a world leader (Ideally the US prez) commissions a major scientific review with real uncorrupted scientists in relevant fields of expertise to finally expose and put to rest the fraud.
The end game is to go back to cheap fossil fuel as our main source of energy.

If you still think oil is getting rare; If starting tomorrow morning the whole planet was to use only Alberta sands oil, there is enough there for the next 50 years.

  5. The Fox “News” article didn’t have comments. A clear sign it is a bunch of BS.

But we did have rain in Calgary last night. The watermelons will be demanding a swift embrace of communism for that. (Rain in Calgary in December is not unusual.)

  6. I always wonder why polar bears thrive in Hudson’s Bay where there has never been summer sea ice in recorded history while they are going extinct everywhere else because of reduced summer sea ice. Sounds like we are dealing with a crock of sh!t.

50 years ago today, OPEC members had embargoed nations which supported Israel during the 1973 Yom Kipoor War, ultimately leading to the end of the golden era for big block American V8’s.
7000 lb ‘electric’ vehicles are the ultimate response to that trauma.

    1. Go big or go home.
Still no electric passenger planes, cargo boats, freight trains, bulldozers, spacecraft, snowplows…

  8. They still shoot polar bears … for fun … in Canada. When that stops I might sit up and listen.

  9. I remember when some ‘climate scientist’ first tried to convince us that the polar bears were being threatened by ‘global warming’. The Inuit just laughed.
