“That’s off the table,” Singh said in a year-end interview with The Canadian Press, even though the two parties have been working closely together.
“That’s not something that we’re focused on. We’re focused on getting enough done in this Parliament and then running to win.”
Jagmeet ruled it out, until he has to rule it in again.

Given the opportunity, he will once again support a Liberal government without any guilt or concern about their appalling corruption and financial misconduct. A vote for the NDP is a vote for the Liberal Party.

The only reasons there won’t be a coalition is if meathead fails to win enough seats to keep the Liberals in power or the Liberals pull off a majority . As for the CPC , I see about the same chance as a snowball this December in Saskatchewan.

Yep, that’s how I see it, Maikeru. They see how low the Libs are in the polls and want to disassociate from them so they won’t go down with them and will (they hope) replace the Libs as the biggest party on the left.
After the election it will be a different story, they’ll be happy to form another coalition government with the Libs (and vice versa) to hold on to power.
He’d jump at a coalition if their seat count was higher than the Liberals and the total was enough to make him PM.
Voting for Max may just make this a reality.

338Canada predicts a win in Burnaby South for Jagmeat (40% NDP, 29% CPC, 25% Lib) so his pension is pretty secure. Also predicts 28 NDPers elected across Canada so not much change there. Best outcome is a Lib -NDP fight for the woke vote trending NDP so the Libs are reduced and the NDP forms opposition. No election in 2024 as Jagmeat doesn’t want to give up his tenuous hold on policy, something he has under Libs but has no hope for with the CPC. If I was in a swing riding I might strategically vote NDP just to deny Libs a seat. In its way the NDP are to the Libs as PPC is to the CPC, a way to siphon off votes. 22 months until a change of government so don’t let up and a better New Year.
