  1. If you do a little digging you will find that some of the blue states instituted a future date to make gasoline powered generators illegal (in some respects) and take them off the market in their jurisdictions. One such state (of course) is California which is using 2026 as the starting date. Recently, the Biden administration has been suggesting that they will institute an executive order doing the same and using the EPA as the catalyst (enforcer).

This is very interesting because it shows the poker hand of those behind this stupidity. Gas powered generators are a loophole in the brown out application(s). When electric is shut down to a region purposefully, a vast majority of residences these days fire up their gas powered generators so as not to be inconvenienced. The fact that the state and federal government want to shut down this practice suggests the brown outs are a tool and not a necessity.

Overlooked (as is standard for liberal restrictive “legislation”) are those entities that absolutely require to ability to turn to gas powered generators when electricity goes down (hospitals, law enforcement, food stores, etc). They never consider the consequences of their actions.

Anyway, I thought this might be a nice tip for a piece under your “ban everything” label.

    1. I watched that follow-up too, Bunnylicker19.

The construction techniques and layout were very interesting. Also, the history of who owned it and when, and the times it fell to ruin and then was rebuilt was pretty cool. Some people wanted a castle. Others couldn’t be bothered.

Oh, the other thing that wasn’t covered much was the pockets in the stone where timbers were once set. Some were for floors. Some were for the roof. Some seemed to be for the walkways around central portion.

Agreed. Interesting and for someone short of time, it can be watched at 1.25 speed with no loss of detail.

  2. I wonder if those advocating the banning of “(insert item de joure)” will be subject to the same restrictions or wil they have a dispensation due to them being persons of importance?
Reminds me of the Zil Lanes in Moscow and special shops for the nomenklatura…..

    1. I refer you to John Kerry, Addolff. More than one private plane, he says he flies over 1 million miles per year going around telling everyone else – that’s us, the peasants – that flying will destroy the planet so no-one should fly…

…except John Kerry and his masters, who are doing important work flying around telling us not to fly.

Explain to me again how that works?
      *spit!*

      1. If we don’t beat the batards into the ground they will grind us into the ground. Stop talking, do something.

    2. You know how they respond when asked what are they doing to comply with their new rule?

They sputter out some nonsense about water box bottle things.

  3. I have had both gas and electric in most homes, some having wood fireplaces. If electric lights or heat goes out, one can still make dinner with candles and keep warm enough until those wonderful fix-it men go out in often terrible weather and get the electrical power re-started.

Electric stoves are awful. No decent chef uses one. Most of the recipes I enjoy use high heat initially and then simmer. Only gas stoves do that properly.

I am sick of ban people.

  4. I am sick of everyone that thinks they should control my freedom and every aspect of my life. They can come to the door and shoot me. I no longer comply.

    1. “Above is the latest group of citizenry.”

Two Caucasians, by my count…23 ‘racialized’ people (is that the term now?). At least they are doing better that Toronto’s 50 Most Wanted last time I saw it…one white guy, one white woman and 48 non-Caucasians.

  5. Native American leaders visit a burial site in Nebraska as the digging for the bodies of the children starts.

“Newspaper clippings, records and a student’s letter indicate at least 86 students died at the school in Genoa, most due to diseases such as tuberculosis and typhoid. At least one death was blamed on an accidental shooting.

Researchers have identified 49 of the children killed but have not been able to find names for the other 37. The bodies of some of those children were returned to their homes but others are believed to have been buried on the school grounds at a location long forgotten.”

49 of the children “killed”? Most were known to have died due to diseases such as tuberculosis and typhoid. One death was an accidental shooting. But 49 of the children were killed and the names of the other 37 (presumably killed) are unknown.

Well the digging started 14 days ago. How many bodies did they recover? In a follow-up article…

An archeological dig for a lost children’s cemetery near the Nebraska site of a former Native American boarding school has ended after two weeks — and no remains were found.

Dave Williams, the state’s archeologist, said the team searching near the former Genoa Indian Industrial School plans to meet on Zoom with representatives of 40 tribes across the U.S. next week to determine next steps.

“I would have preferred that we found the children,” said Judi gaiashkibos, a member of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska and the executive director of the Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs. “But we have to remain hopeful. They’ve been gone more than 90 years. I feel like I have to remain steadfast and committed.”

    1. ““But we have to remain hopeful. They’ve been gone more than 90 years. I feel like I have to remain steadfast and committed.””

And brainwashed and delusional, too. Don’t let the cold, hard facts interfere with your hurt feelings, okay?

Does no one ever tell them the truth, or are they all too afraid to speak up?

  6. How about you remain ‘steadfast and committed’ to the health and well being of the children of indigenous tribes today for a start?

  7. Hmmm. Look up Genoa, Nebraska on Google Earth. There’s an interesting piece of hydrological engineering there. Nothing amazing. But interesting nonetheless.

  8. You will own nothing and be happy…

Haven’t seen anything on the news but Chase Bank has been down all day. Debit cards not working, transfers not going through. I couldn’t pay the dentist this morning. Customer service claims ‘technical issues relating to a system update” -… an update during banking hours on a tuesday sounds suspect to me.
