Entitled “Creating a Fair and Equitable Energy Transformation,” The 56 page report outlines nothing short of the utter transformation of Canada, its economy and workforce, by way of transitioning away from fossil fuels to a largely electric economy, with the possibility of hydrogen usage as well. In doing so it means to largely do away with the fossil fuel industry which is one of Canada’s largest industries and contributors to GDP, exports and wealth. The report provides recommendations as to what to do with the people involved in that industry, but not so much the companies who employ them, create those jobs or that wealth.

I dont even need to read the report because its all a lie – there is no intent to “reimagine” our economy, or transition it. There is a desire to subjugate humanity though, and he who controls/rations/criminalizes hydrocarbons controls humanity.

Respectfully disagree. I’m using wordage in the common parlance, as has been used for decades. And “fossil fuels” was used in the report 17 times. Also, I’ve looked at core in the core lab 100 to 200 million years old, with fossils, and oil saturated in it. So I would say it is indeed apt.

The usage fossil fuels includes coal, which is not really a hydrocarbon like petroleum and natural gas are, in some other languages coal is just called carbon. Fossil fuels maybe should include Uranium too, as it is mined. I think fossil fuel is a useful basket term, just as “unreliables” is for wind and solar.

Only way would be nuclear, SMR and an attendant build out of the grid. Also, upgrading of older homes to higher amperage service if you want to run an electric furnace and charge your EV at the same time. Fossil fuels will still be needed to achieve these goals, in the production, transportation and installation.
Less than 10 years is an ambitious timeline and where is all the money coming from? Subsidies, government homeowner ‘loans’? Find out and follow it and you’ll have your answer.

Energy charge is one line. Under that are charges for: Administration Charge, Delivery charge, Transmission Charge, Balancing Pool Allocation, Rate Riders, Local access fee.
These various charges come to about 2.58 times the energy charge on my June 2023 bill.
What will this be in 2030 and beyond?

I guess from their perspective, keeping the west poorer, will ensure they are richer.
It’s way past time for the west to say NO MORE. I’m really hoping Alberta and Saskatchewan will show the turd the middle finger on this attack on the west.
