China’s attempts to meddle in Canadian elections is dragging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals down in the court of public opinion, and if the hemorrhaging of support does not stop, it could mean serious trouble for the government in the next election, say pollsters.
“The interference issue has long legs, and that there’s some twist and turn in the narrative,” said Nik Nanos, chief data scientist for Nanos Research, in an interview with The Hill Times. “The Liberals should be quite concerned because what they have to worry about is that the current Conservative advantage consolidates and the longer that the numbers stay here, it becomes the new normal, and it will require more effort to dislodge the trend line.”
According to last week’s rolling poll by Nanos Research, the Conservatives were leading the pack with the support of 35.7 per cent of Canadians, followed by the Liberals with 28.3 per cent. The New Democratic Party was at 19.4 per cent, the Greens at 5.1 per cent, and the People’s Party of Canada at 4.1 per cent.

If he’s putting out polls saying the Conservatives are ahead, then he’s sending his masters a signal that they need to release some dirt or buy some votes.
That 28% + (20% NDP) of Canadians are ok with a coalition that has done so much damage to this country is beyond criminal. The only possible reasons for supporting Libs or NDP right now is stupidity or corruption.

The young voters are who are driving these numbers, with low income seniors topping up the septic tank.
Young people who have been trained to take the Covid-bucks don’t have much of a future. The prices of housing and vehicles are beyond reach if they don’t have a government/tech job with lifetime benefits. The stability of a healthy two-parent family structure has declined faster than the rate of inflation. Single parents can barely support themselves, let alone helping their children start a business or get post-secondary training. The education system has turned into socialist indoctrination centers, swinging the maliable minds into the left wing ditch.
No wonder the WEF statement that “you won’t anything, but you’ll be happy” saying is so enticing. Happiness is the lure, but the satisfaction of building a house, buying a vehicle so as to explore the world on the highways and biways can put one in deep debt and only looks like enslavement.
The Conservative message of “preserving the status quo” is a death sentence of enslavement and hopelessness. Conservatives haven’t conserved a thing. All they have done is move toward the Marxist abyss.
The financial system has become a thing to game and cheat as the eyes of the youth have been opened to the corruption and enslavement that the banksters have perpetuated. Locking down accounts for wrong-think has been seen a righteous virtue as conformity to the perceived health lockdowns has been disobeyed, endangering the lives of the world citizens.

In the past that Could have led to a majority in the house against a widely split opposition but today would only yield a minority government out-gunned by leftist parliamentary hegemony (de facto coalitions). I’m glad that you mentioned the ‘cancerous growth of the public sector.’ That to me is a massive and enduring shift in the political spectrum to the left. I think that the majority of Canadians now work directly or indirectly work for the government and it shows. The Liberals literally have to be caught stealing on a massive scale in order to create a big enough shockwave that it dislodges them from power for a term or two.
And then whoever replaces the Liberals actually does the structural reform to fix at least some of the mess.
