  1. In the past few weeks CPP Investments tv ads have appeared out of nowhere reassuring us that everything is fine, our futures are safe in brilliant hands. As I told my wife, when these bastards feel it’s necessary to to tell us everything is fine, it likely means things are turning to shit and they’re in preemptive mode.

    1. In Stalin’s Russia, the adage was “believe nothing until it has been officially denied.”

      In Junior’s Trudopia, ditto.

  2. This site has no moral authority to condemn Twitter or Facebook. I am censored here for the crime of hurting feelings.

    1. It was probably the hypocrisy that garnered criticism. Plus, you are posting – so not censored -but then again, you are a hypocrite and that also tends to include lying so there’s that…..

  3. What level of nutter do you have to believe that the CPP will pay out by the time you get to retirement?

    1. This plays into the fantasy that the government will look after one.

In truth, the government is stealing from everyone.

I regret that I did not dedicate my life to building a device that can catapult stupid people into the sun.

    2. I too used to think that. While I agree that an individual could have more than likely made much more money by prudent investing, I have done OK by suckling on this particular teat. And then again, you could have lost money.

      CPP deductions 1975 – 2011 = $35,035.55 (1975 seen $66.89 as an annual deduction for CPP LMAO!!!)

      CPP payout 2019 – 2023 = $50,569.00

If you die before collecting the CPP, you’re shit outta luck tho.

      1. If you don’t live long enough to become dependent on the government you will have had a lucky escape.

  4. Why even pose this as a question? By its very design it’s aim is to destroy prosperity

    1. People will swallow this. They swallow the crap from here, there and everywhere.
This place forces it down our throats as much as the next does, just with a sweet pill to go with it.

    1. Deliberately, yes. That’s the purpose of it. Those who consider themselves our betters have decided that there are too many of us.

Not that they need to change anything they’re doing, of course. They just know that the world will be a better place (for them) when serfdom is re-established.

  5. Have heard mention over the years that the Plan is also heavily invested in China. Hope that’s not true: easier to put money into Chinese companies than to ever get any out.

    1. only 14% of the CPP is invested in Canada, 14%!

Think about it, even the blatantly commie run CPP won’t invest in Turdo’s fû&ed up vision.

  6. Net zero is a government concept, it will never happen . There will be a lot of destruction but no such thing as net zero.

    1. Unfortunately there are a lot of folks who think it’s a good thing to try for. When I try to explain “tree line would be at sea level, meaning the extinction of almost all land-based life” I get a lot of glazed expressions and questions about where my paychecks come from. Because only government or think-tank money is good and can fund “science” to those who have no concept of the difference between a hypothesis and a theory.
