In effect, governments are weaponizing accountants to disrupt and transform the global economy, and the government of Canada is fully on board — though without having bothered to ask Canadians if it’s something they really want.
Last March, the ISSB issued draft standards for sustainability and climate-related financial disclosures with a comment period that closed at the end of July 2022. The big four accounting firms and the big corporate groups that want ESG accounting and actually helped draft the standards also provided comments — which, circularly, the board has cited to demonstrate support for the proposals. Since July, the ISSB has been working at breakneck speed to revise the standards for implementation.

Funny thing is, as AI or machine learning or whatever you want to call it becomes more advanced guess which jobs are going first? That’s right-accountants. They are first on the block, followed closely by lawyers. Spreadsheets, figures, rules, processes, precedent, text trawling, et are all prime applications for maching learning.
So, these accounting firms that want to train and hire new accountants, never gonna happen. There isn’t enough of them to do the job, here comes the AI – then we don’t need any.

More conflict of interest as the large accountancy firms are also the large auditing firms who will do most of the ESG / DEI work either as systems designers, internal and external auditing and as standards registrars. Economic parasites for pseudo-green hysteria and post modern absurdity pimping. Destroying capitalism and liberty with a million cuts.
Bingo. And remember: they’ve never uncovered any major financial meltdown until *after* it happens. Dot com implosion, 2007 real estate bubble, TARP, Enron, Bankman-Fried, you name it and they always find a way to look the other way.
The government has already weaponized scientists and medical professionals without any pushback. Why stop there, why not bend pencil pushers to do their will too? There has been no resistance so far against government creep. Hell, if anything the main stream media and those that see “fascism!” where it doesn’t exist have been supportive of these measures. That’s why we should all be making an exit plan. Western civilization is broken beyond fixing. Get out while you still can.

Prior to 2008, long standing American accounting rules stipulated that if your assets were less than your liabilities, you were insolvent. It didn’t matter if your debtors were still making payments.
After 2008, that rule got ditched. Insolvency is not insolvency if we simply declare it to be so. Primacy of consciousness.
That created a precedent apparently which is now spilling over into other areas.
ESG accounting?
Step 1. Accountants forbidden from traveling by air.
Step 2. Accountants forbidden from using cars. Must take public transit.
Step 3. Accountants limited to an apartment size of 400 ft2.
Around 10 years ago ESG analysis made some sense as it was still investor returns oriented. Unfortunately, just as “bad money drives out good” ESG has been corrupted to mean assess everything as if climate alarmism is true. For now it will be merely a huge reporting wasteful overhead but one can anticipate that soon sanctions and penalties will be applied to enforce the climate orthodoxy. It will all be to our detriment.

When we consider the “lack of diversity” in the size of the group (14 people) and also that they are only from the “big four” accounting firms, my tin foil hat sees the blatant hypocrisy! This has WEF written all over it, just like only Amazon and a mere few other giant companies being “allowed” to function and operate during the recent covid idiocy. Only giant accounting firms will be left functioning after all the plans are implemented, and as planned, the smaller companies and individual accounting businesses will not be able to compete with the giant ones and will fall by the wayside. Bigcorp will fully assist the WEF in controlling the peasants in the future world they are trying to force upon us all. They are all EVIL!
The dominoes are all falling in to place, right under our noses, and most western governments are all in with the WEF!

It’s like the world has done a 180 and like a pandemic of evil, stupidity, incompetence, envy, and poverty has fallen upon the western world. A lot of it can be attributed to the past couple of decades of third world invaders.

Minimize the punishment by complying,at great personal cost.
Or minimize the reporting..
By doing what you like differently.
