  3. Kind of wonder about his statement about ‘Canadians’ reflecting ‘deeply’ on the decision. Many people don’t care, didn’t affect them. Way too many on the government payroll of all tiers of government and government funded agencies and such. What percentage of the mRNA vaccinated are going to agree, if might chip away at the security of their delusion. I am not so cheery about the Conservative Party making this a principled stand. We had a provincial election in Ontario last summer where not ONE word was spoken about covid and the greatest social upheaval since World War 2. Kind of feels like the movie set, Canadian version No Where To Hide. Trust in GOD, not the government

  8. This is worth repeating. Paul Rouleau is the younger brother of Pierre Rouleau. Pierre Rouleau was married to Suzette Trudeau, Pierre Trudeau’s older sister. Any human being with an once of decency would have recused themselves from this process under these circumstances. And if we had any true journalists it would be front page news.

  9. Is anyone truly surprised by this ruling? Even if it was on the up and up, it had no teeth to do anything about it, only to recommend charges to the appropriate (Liberal controlled) agencies.
    We now face a government that is able and more than willing to freeze all of your financial accounts because you donated to a legal protest fund, issue nationwide warrants and to hold indefinitely without bail anyone accused (not tried and convicted, just accused) of mischief, run down native grandmothers with a horse, are one rubberstamp away from controlling what information you’ll be allowed to see on the internet, and is planning a digital currency to be able to track anything and everything that you do.

    The belief that our rights are granted by the government, or society, is deeply ingrained in Canadian thought, be it on the left or the right. This belief is much, much worse than the left’s mangling of the language.
    We have natural rights, whether the state violates them or not. Those who believe otherwise are no better than Rouleau.

    2. Another myth, a referendum is not required to leave Canada.
      Only a UDI is required which takes courage.
      When Quebec started talking about using a UDI. That is when Chretien had the Non Constitutional document the Clarity Act created.
      A non binding paper which is not a part of the BA or Constitution.

      Kosovo held no vote no referendum on Separation and Independence and the International Court ruled it was legal.
      So a UDI by the government of the day is all that is required.
      By the way this court decision was supported by Canada at the time in writing.

  15. I’m surprised Rouleau didn’t say the whole thing was MOOT. Seems to be the legal strategy for corruption.

    The Charter is just damp, moldy toilet paper, meaning little to nothing anymore, if it ever did.

As I have mentioned on previous postings, I don’t want Justin to resign before the next election and then the LPC install a new leader who they claim to be radical and different – there would be enough idiots in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes to vote the Liberals back in. So I hope that the only ray of sunshine from this farce is that it emboldens Justin’s ego to run again and he and the LPC (along with the NDP) gets crushed. Short of him being caught in some sexual act with small children, that is the only way that I will be willing to see him GONE.

    Still, I think some hard thought needs to be given to tactics for future dissent, border crossing blockades? Not that good a fit with the freedom paradigm. And harassing health care workers? A guaranteed popularity deflater. I suggested more direct protests aimed more at the health ministers of the provinces. The truck convoy was more on point and I generally supported that concept. But our protests need to be more directly focused on government rather than collateral damage situations. Make the top functionaries of government feel the anger of the people, rather than dispersing it on less directly responsible individuals. This may be difficult in this tele-conference day and age.

    I think it’s probably time also to put the political egos aside and have a conference between Poilievre and Bernier, they need to construct a strategy that will maximize the total conservative presence in the House. A coalition of similar interests is routine in most advanced democracies and the Liberals and NDP have figured this out on their side (to some extent). I can’t easily go back to the party that disappointed us so many times in the recent past, but I don’t want to see Trudeau staying in power either, or any successor. Time for realism to play a role in this, and it cannot be just a capitulation, the PPC has a legitimate role to play.

  22. My take,is keep your powder dry and wait until the Supreme Court of Canada confirms it.
    Let them make it official.
    That we have no right,nor freedoms but those our Bureaucrats Permit us.
    And they need only permit us the pleasure of exercising those limited privileges,when they are not in a state of high Panic.
    For far too long the parasitic overload has used the illusion of us having natural Rights and Freedoms,protected by law, as a cloak for their stealing.
    The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms has been one of the bigger lies..
    So stay calm and let the Top Just Us critters cement it in law.

    It is always a good day when my enemies loudly and proudly self identify.
    Now ,should the Supreme Court actually find that Canadians have rights and freedoms that do NOT come from government..then we might consider arguing further.

    And then we will know what institutions,if any,we will wish to retain.

    People such as these who imagine they rule us,are insatiable in their lust for power and ruthless in their terror of anyone else ever having power.

    They have served us notice that they will never stop “Helping us”.

    That a “No thanks” from us,just means we are mentally ill.

    So stay calm and wait for the April Thriller..Where the Supreme Court of Can Ahh Duh,shall rule that property has no right to rights and freedom.

    And such property has no right to the privacy of their own bank accounts.
    And finally that you,as property of The State,shall obey your dear Leader.

    Then we can start the show..

    For up to this point,we have been treated to a bunch of Fools and Bandits,shrieking “I am Napoleon” and threatening to behead us if we do not respect their authority.
    Let the Judges join this chorus, before you rule Can Ahh Duh as irretrievably broken.

    As our options evaporate,our choices narrow..
    Decisions become so much better defined.

    Most of those who wish us no good, have taken off their masks.
    Stay calm and let the rest of them hog the floodlights.
