3. Saw her up close in a yoga class in BH back in the day. I had a California gf at the time and had to go to
   Bickram Chourdry’s yoga class ha. Racquel was in the same class.
   One time she was only a coupla feet from me when we were all stretching and sweating. Some maneuvers produce gas….she could fart with the best of ’em.
   Oh the life I’ve led.

4. Apparently she was a conservative which you could be in her day in Hollywood and no one batted an eye.

5. Mother Jugs and Speed was a movie she starred in with Bill Cosby.
   If I’m not mistaken the Cosby character beats up another ambulace guy for raping passed out chicks.

6. I’m 61 and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen RW in any movie I’ve ever watched, but I was certainly aware of her stardom and reputation. I did see her as a guest on the Tonight Show a long time ago . She had a cat in her lap and asked Johnny Carson if he would like to stroke her pussy, and he replied “Yeah, move the cat.” It was quite scandalous at the time.

   1. After googling to affirm my memory of this and maybe see the clip, I find that it could have been Zsa Zsa Gabor, and/or it didn’t happen at all, it’s just urban legend. I saw it live on TV when it happened, god damn it. Hard to believe that tech and media would be rewriting history about things so trivial, but here we are…

7. No self respecting male in my Junior high school lacked a Raquel Welch one million years bc poster in their rooms. Tasteful enough that even your mom would allow it.

8. I’m showing my age, but I remember racing home after supper (we all played outside then) to watch this movie called ” One Million Years BC.” It was 1969ish, and I was in grade 2. Even back then, I knew, and every male in my group of friends knew, how sexy and beautiful she was. The movie and Raquel didn’t disappoint; I watched her every film through the 1960s and 1970s. Pam Grier, Angie Dickenson and Raquel fought for my money and movie-going attention. RIP Raquel, another segment of my lost innocence is now gone. Thanks for the mamories.

       I find it sort of as a precursor to Rollerball with James Caan.

    2. I have “Fantastic Voyage” on DVD. I just watched it last night in memory of Raquel. Great movie! I watched “American Graffiti” a couple of weeks ago after Cindy Williams died. It’s always fun to re-watch old movies and bring back memories.
