It took a beloved Toy Story bad-ass astronaut whose catchphrase was “To infinity and beyond!” and turned him into an all-too-typical clueless white male clod who couldn’t even successfully leave a single planet.
Or Kathleen Kennedy. She runs the Lucasfilm division, purchased from George Lucas in 2012 for $4 billion. Since then, she’s run the Star Wars franchise into the ground with a combination of bad scripts and “the Force is female” wokeness.

George Lucas had already killed off the Star Wars franchise for me with the 4th in the series. Jar Jar Binks did it for me. Already done by the time the Disney kiddie diddlers took over.

Star Wars was nearly a remake. Go watch the 1950s film Dambusters (or at least the last 1/3 when they have the actual raid) and then go back and watch the Death Star attack.

Lucas is… dunno. A massive 10 year old boy who took his Genie Wish to be a bottomless toybox. He is having fun but he has also managed to convince everyone he had a plan from the start.
Yeah, no. He had some ideas. They could as a plan in the same way that I have a plan to go to the UK in 2024. Sure I have vaguely looked at how much leave I have and have a time of the year lined up, but not as if I have booked hotels, airfare or side trips.

The real stink of it is, Jar-Jar was Oscar material compared to the steaming turds that were the most recent trilogy.
It makes me wonder how something actually watchable like Andor got made (Of course they HAD to put a couple of dyke characters in it…just couldn’t leave well enough alone).
JarJar wasn’t the worst offense… turning the force from something magical and mystical into a parasitical infection that could be measured in a blood tests was stupid.
Hopefully this is a sign of things to come where theses woke companies crash and burn like they should . It demonstrates that sane people still have some fight left in them . We can only hope that Crap Broadcasting Corp . meets the same fate .
The entertainment industry has finally hit the bottom. Disney has seen the worst financial crisis in the last 2 years that it’s ever faced, Warner Bros is $50B in the hole thanks to trying to imitate the MCU instead of doing their own thing with their DC lineup, and other studios are rethinking their future projects since they can’t afford to lose much more money themselves. Time to pass the popcorn around and speculate on which one dies first.
Not to mention the absolutely delicious collapse of CNN.

From what I’ve read the last couple of years, the woke and querty crowd have turned that municipality into the current version of Sodom & Gomorrah…..an asteroid or small nuke would be a good idea for that place. Mando Season One was average and it went down from there. By the time it got to Season Two it became a show case for supporting characters that might make good spin off series, then got rubbish and then pulled out a deep fake Luke at the end for all the Disney Seals to honk and clap too.

Personally I haven’t paid to see SW product since Phantom Plot last century. Watched Ep 3 because a friend brought it over and saw the grim dark one where they steal the Death Star plans on a flight once. Apart from Mando S1 – which I watched with a friend – I haven’t seen anything else.
I regret nothing.
I’m watching season 1 of mandalorian and so far it’s quite good. Sorry to hear it goes downhill. But then again…doesn’t everything?
One ep of Season 2, while done well, is a ripoff of Seven Samurai…
I liked it overall, but I wouldn’t bother getting any merch or go out of my way to watch Season 3
